Sun Prairie Apartments

People complain about silly things. This place is great! No where else in WDM can you live in such a great location with all the amenities. I mean everything is included and they just upgraded the internet speed to 100meg! I write one check each month so its simple!

Casey is in the county he tried to rip me off because when I told him Sun Prairie was not like you pay over $1,200 for a new apartment or live in Waukee the apartment is not worth what she would pay in Waukee for rent there are apartments that are worth 12 13 or 1400 and I'm cool with that there however don't try to make me pay that kind of money for Sun Prairie that's an old apartment and then when I signed a renewal lease they would not honor my renewalies I had no problems until I told her that their apartment was not worth the money that much money cuz for the money that they want to charge you can live someplace a lot better and newer he then told me that I was going to be a month to month at 1190 just because I had told him that the apartment wasn't worth that jumping a raise cuz they jumped my money too what was 1,035 to another extra one hundred and $55 Apartments not worth it a new apartment I couldn't fuss about but this apartment is not worth it and because I said that you don't get mad at the truth and tell someone that you're going to force him to go month-to-month and pay $1,190 so now you want to charge me $190 because you don't like the truth don't live in this apartment place don't live you can for the money you can get something newer and better

I wrote a previous post about living here for 2 yrs. I am now moving into a bigger apartment here. The staff as been wonderful!!! I have always been treated good by the office staff and the maintenance people. As long as I have been here, I have never had a problem with anyone. The hallways where I currently live are always clean, plus since I have been here they have shampooed the hallway carpets 3 times. Also they have painted the hallways twice. The grounds are very well kept. For as huge as this complex is, which is the biggest apartment complex in Iowa, they do a superb job in keeping everything looking beautiful. My neighbors have always been kind and I haven't had a problem with any of them. I am 60 yrs old and throughout my life, I have lived in apartments, duplexes, townhomes and had a house. I have never found people more caring and go out of their way to help you, as Sun Prairie has been for me.

I have lived here for over 2 yrs. I have no complaints.Staff and maintenance have been great. I seen so many complaints on the reviews before I chose to move here. I thought, well I am going to make my own decision on this, and I am glad I did. I have never had any problems living here. I love the fact that they came in 2 or more times a year with a dog and check your apartment for bed bugs and also spray for any kind of bugs, I haven't had bed bugs or roaches. I have also seen complaints about different smells in the hallways. There are different cultures that live here, and therefore you will smell different food aromas. As far as "bad" smells, I have not run across them in the building I live in. Only one thing I don't like about living here, is that you have to either smoke in your car or the designated outside areas, which, if you don't have a car like myself, you are exposed to the elements. I wish they had a covered area where us smokers could go and be out of the weather.Other then that, I would highly recommend living here.

I have lived here for a year, and every maintenance request I have ever had has been swiftly addressed that day, or maybe one or two business days. Somehow, I don't know how, we got bed bugs *twice* and they took care of it swiftly and securely both times. Now, there are consequences to that, but I am paying month to month and taking care that no more incidents occur. Even so, sometimes things happen, but they took care of it swiftly so that it never escalated into a true problem. They have been gracious, honest, friendly, and people that visit my apartment marvel and want to live here. I have recommended this complex to friends and family. Its location is an absolute joy - everything we need is nearby, and many things within walking distance. The pool, volleyball courts, and roads and buildings are all well maintained and in the worst weather, we can come and go from the parking lot to the street. I hope to live here as long as my son goes to school in the West Des Moines District, and give him a good foundation for the rest of his life. Thank you, Sun Prairie!

ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES EVERYWHERE! goodness. and the office will try blaming it on you so that they can evict you (and still force you to pay thousands of dollars of the remaining lease eventhough they have forced you out) to make easy dirty money off of you.
