The Domain at Bennett Farms

I just moved out of the apartment and am being charged $1,250 to replace carpet in a 1 bedroom unit. Before moving out, I spoke with maintenance (Phil) who told me that the only reason the carpet would need to be replaced would be if there was an extreme pet smell, but told me that there wasnt a bad smell. I still had Langenwalter Carpet Cleaning come out the day before move out to deep clean carpet and treat for any pet odor. Langenwalter came out the day after, just to make sure there wasnt a pet odor(which there wasnt). On July 13th, after deep cleaning/moving out I went to the leasing office to return my keys and requested to do the final walk through then, so I could be present (which is extremely reasonable). I was told that Courtney had to be there to do the walk through, so it would have to wait until the next Monday. I called the office on Wednesday and was advised that Courtney wasnt going to be in office until July 24th (almost two weeks after I moved out). When speaking with Courtney on July 26th regarding the Final Statement, I was told that her and her maintenance technician, again Phil, thought the smell was unbearable and disgusting, which is 100% impossible. I asked for proof the carpet was replaced and that it actually needed replaced. I was told I could reach out to the carpet company, there was no receipt provided. I also had issues with the air quality and the maintenance, in general. Please see my Google review for a detailed description of everything. For paying $1,709 in rent for a one bedroom apartment, this is all completely unacceptable. Beware of living in this apartment as they will try and maximize their profit on anyone and for no reason at all. They barely fix any issues that are addressed. I could go on and on about the issues I have faced the last two years, but I will spare you all the gory details.

My wife and I rent a two bedroom apartment and have been able to afford a much more comfortable life since we moved out of our home. The community here is wonderful and we are happier with our decision to move here each day. The maintenance staff is quick, polite and through. Thank you soooo muxch! Dave

DONT DO IT!!!!!! The worst apartment ive ever lived in. When the apartment has carpet, theres nothing luxury about it. Upon moving in my apartments was gross - definitely no cleaning took place. Paint splatters all over the cabinets and floors. My toilet smells like rotten eggs and when you flush it sounds like youre flushing wrenches. The management is rude, sarcastic, and could care less. They never answer maintenance submissions, emails, or calls. I called twice in a week about a wasp nest on my porch with active wasps and was assured it would be taken care off, yet I heard nothing and no one came by. It wasnt until they came to change the filter did I finally get an answer, which was he was getting spray next week. cool, how about relay that info? Or was it an answer to shut me up? I took it down myself. The washer smelled of mold upon moving in and still does, regardless of cleaning it. Our AC was used for the first time yesterday and it ran all night long and its somehow hotter in here?? Wonderful. Thatll never get fixed. Cant wait to move out. Please please read these reviews and just dont do it. I know several other residents with same issues and more, completely unresolved.

+WORD OF CAUTION*. To ANYONE currently living at the Domain- check your air quality and moisture levels. I had major issues for over a year. My family was constantly sick and has caused ongoing health issues due to mold exposure from a plumbing issue in another unit. Im not confident that it has been resolved at all, based on the poor practices I experienced while living there for 2 years. Probably still growing in the walls. If I am wrong, and its been fixed, would be great, but at least check it. Spend the $10 at Home Depot for a test kit and see what grows. But dont trust anything they say is fixed. If it costs their company more than $800 to fix- they ignore you. And you are lucky to get a few slaps of paint so they can claim its fixed. Make sure you have GOOD renters insurance because they take zero responsibility for ruining your stuff. And check your lease for the mold addendum, dont sign it, they dont honor it anyway.

Went there to look around to see if the grounds looked as good as the pics I was quite impressed spoke to a maintenance man named Phil he answered a lot of my questions he was very nice and made me feel it was a safe place to live
