Units are a nice size minus an available utility closet, but it has a nice looking environment. The washers and dryers for the building could use a upgrade as they've constantly broken down. The first year living here was fine, but the real issues started the second year. We've had issues with silverfish insects, ceiling had to be patched from old nails punching through and causing leaks, our AC unit went out which we had to call about multiple times and the unit had to be replaced in the Spring, dishwasher had standing water and leaked on more than one occasion in which the last time I called it in for maintenance emergency (because what leak isn't), someone on the answering service responded saying "to not call for stupid stuff" and hung up on me. This was August 2023. Keep in mind, we're a low-income household so we were eligible for lower rental rate and rental assistance. Fast forward to November 30, 2023, now a family of 4, and we got a 90-day notice that our lease won't be renewed. Reason being, property owners didn't like that we made too many maintenance calls. Never had any major issues other than the things mentioned. Needless to say, this felt deliberate and the amount of apathy I received when inquiring was telling. So my family is being forced back into the housing market and this place revealed itself to be owned by a slumlord. Be warned if you do decide to rent and things need to be worked on in the apartment which already takes a while because they only have one maintenance guy for the whole complex who is a chill guy.

Mrs. Deb was very caring and understanding, thee best customer service Ive ever had in my life. Also the complex was nice and clean. Hopefully they will have something available soon. Thanks so much for everything Mrs. Deb I am forever grateful..

I left message and they called back. They told me they had no availability for Portage, but asked if I would be interested in Hobart location. Asked if I had animals I said I had 2 cats and the lady said "I'm done" and begin to cackle... very unprofessional and rude. I am glad it happened. Showed me what kind of place I would have be moving in.
