This place is a scam, they are just trying to get your NON-REFUNDABLE application fee of 60 dollars. Very unfriendly staff, don't rent here.
I have lived herer for 3 years now and love the apartment. The rent is steeper than others in the area but it is well worth it particularly if you take advantage of the gym area and avoid having to get a membership. The management and maintenance have always been extremely helpful. I moved in expecting just to stay while in school and am still here a year after go finishing. If I were not buying a house I would definitely renew for another year.
The apartment's website universitypark.info is very inaccurate.
The rent does not include water, sewage trash, recycling, or cable and internet as listed. Those are a separate cost of $125 a month in addition to the $925/mo. Note to first time renters, this still doesn't account for gas and electric (NIPSCO). Also, there are not furnished apartments available as listed on their site.
These are very nice apartments, with some great amenities, but the misleading information can be fairly off-putting.
They lied about the utilities included in their website
We have lived here for eight years. I work for Purdue, and my wife and I initially thought we would only stay here for the first year. The convenience of the location loomed large after our first NW Indiana winter, and we decided to stay. The staff has always been really good to us: there is a family atmosphere here and we feel a part of it. You ask that we not reference anybody by name, so I would just note that the office manager is wonderful.
