Creekside At Meadowbrook

I moved into a third floor apartment at Creekside on an 85 degree day. We quickly realized it was getting very warm in the unit, and the A/C was not working. We completed the move without contacting management as we assumed we were not programming the thermostat correctly. A couple of days later, when returning to the apartment, I contacted management via email asking for instructions on how to program the thermostat. I believe 4 days passed and I had no response, so I contacted them again when I realized the heat was also not working. They sent maintenance out to check the HVAC unit. Turns out, the entire unit needed to be replaced, and this would take several more days. In the interim, maintenance brought up a portable A/C unit. While this was cooling down the bedroom, it was very loud and made sleeping near impossible. On the third day, the unit started blowing warm air. When I reported the problem, maintenance came out. I was told that essentially, it was impossible for it to blow warm air. Huh? They tested it for literally 10 seconds, it blew cold air, and they left. After several days and nights of not being able to control the temperature, I was getting very frustrated with management not keeping me informed of any progress. I got no response when asking for updates. I then sent management and Creeksides corporate office an email, letting them know that I was going to hire a contractor to replace the HVAC unit, pay for the unit myself, and deduct the amount from the rent. Within a couple of hours of sending that email, management responded. WHAT A COINCIDENCE! I was told a new HVAC unit was ordered and would be installed by the end of the week, which it was. One final thing. Before you sign a lease agreement with Creekside, make sure you know all of the up-front fees, and be sure you understand the reason you're paying those fees. I was a bit surprised when asked to pay $650 in non-refundable fees, prior to being provided a copy of the lease.

The property needs more attention hallways not taken care of as well as entrances and outside. Weeds and garbage all over the place. we take care and take pride on taking care of inside. It is our home.

Very nice apartment complex! Maintenance issues get fixed pretty quickly too.

Great place to live! Complex is clean and maintenance is very very prompt with any issues happening in the apartment.

I enjoy living here and enjoy all the staff. Michelle,Cicely and the maintenance crew. They are wonderful and very helpful to me.

I have been there for 4 years with very little sone to upgrade my unit despite the huge increase in rent. When I rented originally under different ownership, there were only certain buildings that were pet friendly. Now, all units accept pets. Which means, I have a cat living in my building and we are allergic to cats. Residents also do not clean up after their pets outside. Despite numerous complaints, my neighbors are extremely loud . Needless to say, I will not be renewing my lease.
