-Nice features including front load washer/dryer and stainless steel appliances.
-there is now a keurig in the lobby
-Management (yes even the new Hunter properties) is unresponsive and disorganized. The complex fails to serve its residents in a timely manner. The management staff is responsible for multiple apartment complexes and is often absent throughout the day and they do not reply to emails.
-bad neighborhood immediately south of the apartment
-Parking lot is full because residents bring their guests to park in the lot. The lot does not seem to be monitored for non-resident parking so its basically a free-for-all. Ive had to park on the street many times because it was full.
-the gym has no blinds on the floor to ceiling windows so if youre working out at night or early morning youll be on display for anyone walking by...kind of creepy/ awkward.
-gym needs better equipment. The cable machine design is odd.
-the elevators are extremely slow. Its almost faster to take the stairs.
-Metronet internet, which has had multiple city-wide outages in the past 6 months and does not reach some areas in your apartment.
-bike parking in the garage is a perk but its right next to the leasing office and you are not allowed to take your bike through the leasing office and out to 4th Street. You have to walk your bike all the way to the gate on 5th Street which adds about 5 unnecessary minutes to your bike commute. They need to either place a gate next to the bike rack or move the bike rack closer to 5th Street so this wont take so long.
-if you have a 2 br: Only one mailbox key is given and only one rent payment account is allowed. That means you cant split automatic payments with your roommate.
-no recycling on site. You have to take it to west Lafayette which is a hassle. Also no trash service - you have to take the trash out yourself. Thats a 10 minute chore with the elevators and walk to the dumpster.
Mantanaince is extremely slow or they dont fix what is needed at all. The apartment is built very poorly and seems to have been built in a rush ( paint on carpet, holes in dry wall, uneven cabinet handles). The prices is way to high for such a poor place.
Great exercise room. Convenient parking and access to downtown amenities; restaurants, shopping, library, etc..
