I was extremely unhappy due to the fact that my car got towed about 3 weeks ago in the middle of the night. I live in a two bedroom apartment, but was only given one parking space for two cars. I came home one Friday and ALL the visitor parking spaces were taken which is where I usually park the extra car. I had the option to pay an extra monthly fee for another parking space, but with the high cost of this apartment, I already felt like I was overpaying on rent so of course I did not opt for the extra parking space. Anyways, I went ahead and parked on the side of the street because I literally had nowhere else to park unless I were to illegally take someone else's parking space. My car got towed and I was told that cars are only towed by the request of the property.... So incredibly frustrating! I was late to work the next day and had to haggle with the towing company for extra 2 days, all of which would have never happened if Somerset Lakes didn't request for my car to be towed. This is just a way for Somerset Lakes to try to force me to buy a monthly carport for my extra vehicle which already is a ridiculous thing to have to do due to the lack of parking in a PRIVATE COMPLEX. This isn't Downtown Indy... I shouldn't have to be searching for 20 minutes for a parking space on the weekends. I wish to be reimbursed for this massive inconvenience, but based off other reviews I've seen here, it's doubtful that it'll happen and that I'll simply receive a "We apologize for the inconvenience" sort of response. I plan on posting on every source of information to ensure that people realize that the beautiful views and spacious homes are NOT worth the stress and tiring conversations over minor issues that Somerset Lakes won't assist with. For Somerset Lakes: If you wish to resolve this issue, please offer a reimbursement and I'll gladly reconsider my opinion of the complex/management. However, if not, then don't bother responding at all.

Dont rent here if you have a dog! Our first floor apartment flooded from the adjacent laundry room just prior to moving out. Maintenance was notified and they said they would take care of it. After move out we received a hefty bill for carpet replacement due to pet damage. We filed a complaint with the BBB. This unresolved bill still remains on my credit report years later! Do not rent here!

Stay away from this place! There are no odometers for water , you will pay whatever they will say . Pool is closing at 8pm when its the best time to enjoy it. Even more, if they are short staffed they will close the pool at 7 pm on a Saturday. The staff is rude and they never follow up on your calls!! We pay valet trash and then the trAsh is not taken out 2 days in a row sometimes. When I called the staff they said that I should contact the valet company, although I am paying them . Yet I have to do the work! And despite of the monthly fee , I find bugs in the balcony and stairs all summer. Worst place I ever lived in!

Somerset is a place to come home to where you can relax and forget your worries of a busy day. Inside and out it's like being on vacation year round.

Getting to Know Indianapolis, IN
While Indianapolis may have been underrated in the past, it's doing a lot to change this. With more than $5 billion spent on improvements in the last 30 years, the city has become more than just another state capitol.
Indianapolis Apartments and Neighborhoods
- Broad Ripple Village: Do you like weird? Broad Ripple Village is the kind of place "weird" is usually used for. Be it the graffiti, comedy clubs, art galleries, great restaurants, or nightlife, this place has what makes for a weird but trendy neighborhood.
- Glendale: If you like being close to the city but keeping things a little quieter, look at Glendale. It's close to Broad Ripple village, but much more like a suburb than part of the city. If you have or want a family, this is a good place to look.
- Fountain Square: Fountain Square feels vintage. Not necessarily old, but just the right mix of buildings, shops, and restaurants that feel like they're calling back to an older time.
- Allisonville: Similar to Glendale, Allisonville is good for families. With great schools and a quieter atmosphere, it's a great choice for families who want to keep the city close but not live in the middle of it.
- Old Northside: This is where you find the mix of historical and modern day. Full of homes varying from sprawling mansions to small but nice, you can find all sorts here. There are also several cultural events throughout the year, so keep an eye out for anything that might interest you.
