Feel kind of ripped off. Ive stayed at two other Edward Rose properties, northern Indiana, and they at least sit down and go through the lease with you before you sign. We were told, verbally, there is a 5 day grace period, but learned the hard way it was actually 3 days when we got a late fee. Explained the situation to the business staff and leasing agents and they just said sorry but youll have to pay it either way. Then we are told we cant split the payments online unless we pay to do so with the whipz card, we shouldnt have to pay to pay our rent. Also, maintaince came into my fiancs and Is home after we expressed and asked multiple times that wed like to be home when they worked on our dishwasher. I even left work early on a day we agreed and they werent able to come out or work with me again. Then there are a number of things in our apartment that were move in ready for us: water spout for the washer was just labeled bad and it was so before we moved in. Just like with the dishwasher that just leaked all over our floor the first time we used it and when we called it wasnt considered an emergency even tho it had leaked all in our kitchen. Also, we have a whole panel of light switches that dont do anything in our master bedroom. Shouldnt you reset that as well? My fianc and I feel like we were clearly tricked into moving in here with a first impression. Also, to double back because this is coming from frustration and disappointment, no one told us that we can expect roughly $200 more on our rent. I know it depends on usuage but if residents are normally paying that on top of rent you could tell people that when they ask for information. This place truly deserves The 2 star reviews I found on yelp and apartment guide. Im copying and pasting this for other sites.
Apartment complex is very nice management has no clue from A to Z what is going on I would not recommend this short-term or long-term for anybody
Moved in April 2017. Overall very happy with the place. First, despite Internet reviews, I have had NO problems with the Internet/cable service. Friendly, quite and safe community. Some minor issues with worn-out appliances I would prefer replaced.
