Since 1968, Indiana University-Purdue University in Fort Wayne, Indiana, has provided some of the best educational opportunities in the northeastern part of the state for more than 50,000 alumni. Potential students have the choice from nearly 200 graduate and undergraduate programs that cover a range of concentrations that can lead to successful careers in many different fields.

About 680 acres of campus academic buildings, university housing and student life centers make up the home of more than 14,000 co-eds enrolled at the school. Some of the main departments of study include the college of visual and performing arts, the division of labor studies and the college of engineering. The Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne campus also has several research facilities, including the massive Helmke Library and the Opus center that support student creativity and exploration.

One highlight of the school's besides superior academics is that  the institution hosts 16 NCAA Division I sports teams for both men and women athletes. A student living on campus  can either play for one of these groups or catch a game in soccer, tennis, golf or basketball.

While celebrating a win at one of the games, students will often head out in town for some socializing and fun. Co-eds living in off campus housing or in a student apartment who have a sweet tooth head to the Vanilla Bean's Biscotti & Pastry Boutique or the old-fashioned Wayne Street Soda Shop. For more grown up libations, students will have something cold and satisfying at the 816 Pint & Slice pizza shop or the Oyster Bar.
