The office staff is wonderful. They are kind, helpful, and have a positive demeanor. We enjoy our apartment due to location, the size of the bedrooms ,and storage that we have. Our new kitchen cabinets are beautiful! We are able to call Avalon Woods home, where our large breed dog, Mosby is able too as well!
The ladies in the office are always pleasant and helpful. The maintenance grew are very prompt and professional. And I am lucky to have really great neighbors.
The move in process was made easy and stress free thanks to the office personal. Our apartment is so spacious, and my kitchen is a great size for a foodie like myself. I love the family environment the office personal makes for me and my family, they at all so kind and personable.
Never reviewed an apartment complex before but in less than a month being here, I have to do it for the sake of future residents.
The application process is a mess; I applied for an apartment got an email a few days later stating that someone else had placed a holding fee on the very apartment I'd just applied for. At no point did the leasing manager state that I ought to place a holding fee nor did she mention that even though my application was being processed that it's still considered available for showing.
I ended up getting an apartment that I wasn't interested in. Less than a week later, I got another email stating that the individual who placed a holding fee on the apartment I'd originally applied for had backed out. I had to hire movers AGAIN to move to the apartment I wanted.
As far as the apartment itself; the exterior is nice but that's where it ends. The interior is still stuck in the 70's; functional but outdated amenities, vintage floor plan, small closets, the wall are very thin.
Pets; IGC property management claims to be pet lovers but that's far from the truth. The only pets this complex want in their property are cats and small dogs. If you are considering this property and you got a big dog and it ain't one of those; hold on before that celebratory dance. The most important clause to their pets policy is on mixed breeds which states, "If a dog is a mixed breed, it shall be considered to be whichever breed it most resembles in overall appearance and behavior------"
With that knowledge I applied to adopt a Plott Hound from Elkhart humane society and to my utter disbelief the complex made a call that the dog resembles a bit bull and not a Plott Hound. How did they come to this conclusion? You may wonder, the property manager has pit bull so he/she is the unofficial veterinarian. My conclusion on pet policy is this complex hates large dogs here and any large dog will automatically be considered a mix of any of the banned breeds.
Looking forward to living there again.
