We signed a lease renewal and other documents back in May, months before our lease was to expire. Come August, we now receive an email from Gramercy management telling us "your 60 day mark ended July 12th. Accounts that are still marked as undecided at 30 days are automatically charged a (No Decision Admin Fee) of $150.00 in addition to an increased month to month premium." We have proof that we signed the necessary documents months ago. This place is horribly mismanaged
Consistently had issues with loud neighbors and office staff.
After living here a short while you will find that it takes them well over a week to address any and all maintenance issues. Furthermore, parking is, as they put it, on a first come first serve basis. Regardless of the fact you pay a 1000 a month. Meaning if you have to park at the office and walk to your apartment you are simply out of luck. Highly recommended looking elsewhere.
I have lived here at Gramercy for almost 11 years. My rent as well as add on fees have gone up a ridiculous amount in the past 2 years. It's a 58% increase for me. I love my apt, I really do, but I just can't afford this anymore. The amenities are great and it's a nice property as well. Really the only think they seriously need to do is put insulation in the attics. I have begged for this and was told that they won't even ask to get it approved. The upstairs units have super high electric bills, double the downstairs units. Insulation is pretty cheap and would be a tremendous help. Maintenance does a good job, but i think they struggle keeping the guys here. The staff has a super high turnover rate in general. From week to week the staff is likely to change. So get anything that is promised to you in writing. I also think that the high turnover in staff boils down to money as well. It's hard to keep residents and staff happy if you keep trying to squeeze out every penny from them.
It is a nice place, spread out over a large space of land. The rent is decent for the space you get. Maintenance however is a huge letdown, they drag their feet even with big issues. They give excuses for why problems cant be fixed, do sub par jobs. Office has minor issues but as a whole are pleasant and helpful.
