Regency Court Apartments

I Love those 2 buildings on each corner of the walkway. wish if I have apartment in one of them.

One of my room mates extended the contract once the year was over. I moved to a different city and Regency court refused to give me my part of the deposit back. I cannot seem to understand why they thought it would be okay to return my part of the deposit to the new room mate that was taking my place. I had such a horrendous time with this, and will absolutely never recommend this company to anyone. In fact, I will volunteer this information to anyone in Bloomington Indiana because I had such a terrible experience. This should be considered illegal. The housing was actually very nice. However, it was not nearly enough to compensate for the inadequacy of management.

My family of 4 adults lived there for 3 years. With each lease renewal, we incurred a substantial rate increase on our rent. Thus, we couldn't afford to remain at that property.

Great apartment for the price, but maintenance is not timely/thorough and the office is sometimes difficult to deal with.

The apartment was spacious and affordable. I enjoyed my three years despite the occasional issues. Several of the doorknobs in the unit were faulty, and some of my roommates and I got locked into a room as a result of this flaw on multiple occasions. The air conditioner broke down multiple times throughout the hot summer months living here (thermostat was only ever set to a temperature between 68 and 72 degrees). Our duke energy electric bills through the winter months were sometimes even as high as $700 for a single month of use (also with the thermostat set to a mere 68 degrees). As far as student housing goes, the quality of the building is above average. I'm guessing it was built in the 90s. The only thing that is truly frustrating for me is the way that billing was handled upon my move out. On top of the fact that my monthly rent payments continued to withdraw from my bank account after I had moved out (and has yet to be corrected), I was charged $770 so that the carpet could be replaced. Much of the damage to the carpet was a result of faulty maintenance (namely the defective air conditioner causing water damage to the carpet). It was very frustrating to receive the statement of deposit that indicated that I was being charged more than the total amount of the $750 security deposit after I had spent over 50 hours cleaning the unit in the week prior to my vacate date (in hopes of getting at least some of my money back). Tim and Nick were excellent to work with when they were in the leasing office. Things were less easy once they left and the leasing office was staffed by new people.

The place was in great condition. It was very large and much nicer than a lot of other places I've seen for similar prices. The staff is very friendly and prompt about helping solve issues.
