I didn't mind living in one of their apartments
Great customer service.
The staff at Pavilion demonstrate a horrible lack of communication, and the maintenance team is very unreliable. We had to deal with cockroaches, mold in our shower and inside out AC unit, leaks in the windows, and countless other problems that were not appropriately addressed by the staff or maintenance crew (terrible wifi as well). I would not recommend renting through Pavilion unless as a last resort.
Awful customer service
Pavillion is the worst property company I've ever dealt with. We rented a small apartment in Bloomington and left it better than when we moved in. Upon leaving we were confident we would be seeing our full deposit in return. Two months later, we got a bill. They charged us $255 in addition to our $1k deposit. They charged over $800 to paint the two rooms (which was around 400 sq.ft.), they also charged for drip pans (which we had replaced), a MISCELLANEOUS charge (that was never explained), lightbulb fee and cleaning fee.
I am a working adult in the area, not a student, and I am outraged by how this company handled everything. I called to talk with the manager about this issue and was forwarded to a student, who took my complaint and never got back to me. Once I finally got ahold of the manager, she was rude and offered no help except for notifying me of the payment due date.
Other than the after move out issues, here are the issues we had while living there: kitchen cabinets didn't close, people were in and out of our apt. without the 24 hr. notice, security door in the front area was broken and never fixed after several requests from tenants, huge holes in front lawn, toilet was always running and/or broken after many maintenance calls, maintenance requests took 3-5 days to be handled and we weren't told upon renting that parking was an extra fee each month (resulting in a tow) and one washer and dryer machine for entire apartment complex that was old and didn't dry clothes properly.
PARENTS: Save yourself some money and make your student find a better rental company!!
