H.M. Mac Development is bringing a fresh new approach to Bloomington apartment living. Opening August 2016, Echo Park will feature Smiley's coffee shop, offering free made-to-order coffee to each resident, with their own in house Barista. Trees surround the 3 buildings that make up Echo Park. There is a dog park and walking trails.

Everything that glitters aint gold. I have been a resident since these were built and I am counting the days until I leave. Some of the things here are really nice like the free coffee, snacks and the theater room. Unfortunately, I think they rushed building these and the units have sloppy finishes. I had a bug problem, a leaking lights, some of our doors wouldn't even close. Maintenance takes too long, I still haven't got our cracked ceiling fixed. They send you emails reminded us about rent, but they don't really care about the consumer. As long as they get their money, then they are satisfied. Please keep looking.
Too much construction.
I've lived at echo Park since the very start, in August.Watching this community grow has been pretty cool . BTown is known for the nicer apartments being pricey. The staff is nice. I'd like to see the clubhouse add more features for the residents as its a very nice but sorta boring. My only construction concerns are the thin walls and parking isn't the greatest(yet). Overall this place will be GREAT when complete. Echo Park brings a high end feel to this side of town for sure!
Construction workmanship appears to be very poor. Floors are uneven, windows aren??t sealed properly, doors don??t work properly, and overall?.just poorly done. It??s very cheap construction, done in a very bad way. Parking is terrible. Parking is minimal, and parking near your apartment is not convenient or accessible. Road up the hill, into the area poorly designed and constructed, making it difficult for two larger vehicles to pass side by side (one arriving, one departing).
Apartments are overpriced and poorly maintained, although they are new. It takes several requests to get someone out to look at an issue. I moved in and my unit was NOT ready, however, I took it as I was told it would be corrected. Almost 4 months later, I am still waiting on repairs.
