What Renters Like and Dislike About Woodridge

What is unique about our neighborhood is our accessibility to public n3eds are very fast. We also have great breakfast restaurants with best pricing

I like that I have friendly neighbors. There are often people walking their strollers and dogs. Lots of families. Great location in that it's close to highways and other suburbs I visit.

I live in the country, there are little bars on the street corners, there are woods and creeks to explore, there are wild animals here.re expressways nearby, there are vast areas of wild lands

Fantastic neighbors. We have a great mixture of ages, genders and cultures. Public trans is close by and the police station is within walking distance. Our library is top notch with the community center close by.

There's not a whole lot near me. It's the deep suburbs. You have to drive your car if you really want to get somewhere

Many trails nearby. Schools and parks within walking distance. Friendly people living nearby Where I live.

All About

Living in Woodridge, IL

No matter what your lifestyle and interests, renting a Woodridge apartment will provide many opportunities for recreation and proximity to the metropolitan city of Chicago.

When you're finished unpacking boxes, rearranging the furniture and decorating the walls, you'll want to get out of your apartment and enjoy Woodridge's many outdoor features. Grab your bike, helmet and water bottle and head to the Woodridge Bikeways System. You can explore close to 20 miles of paths with access to schools, parks, forests, retail stores and businesses. You can even bike to Castaldo Park, the Greene Valley Forest Preserve and the County Regional Path.

Step out of your Woodridge apartment on any given day and you'll find a variety of entertainment activities. Take a date or the family ice-skating at the Seven Bridges Arena. Play a round of golf with your buddies at one of two local golf courses: Seven Bridges and the Village Greens of Woodridge.

The Village of Woodridge values its economy and works to protect it by promoting local businesses. So, when you need something new for your Woodridge apartment or for yourself, do as the locals do and shop locally. A portion of the money you spend at local shops will stay in the community and help to keep the economy strong. Other reasons why the Woodridge community and the Woodridge Area Chamber of Commerce promotes shopping locally are that it keeps tax dollars in the local economy; it creates and helps retain local jobs; it reduces pollution that comes from driving to other areas to shop; and saves locals money on gas by not traveling to stores outside of Woodridge that are farther away from your apartment.

In addition to persuading people to buy from local businesses, Woodridge is committed to attracting new business and to educating its residents. More than 39% of Woodridge residents are college graduates.

Woodridge is indeed a great place to look for an apartment and to start a new chapter in your life. In 2007, Woodridge was voted one of the Best 100 Places to Live by Money Magazine. And with a population of just more than 34,000 people as of 2009, it's just large enough to have many comforts and amenities, while still being close enough to Chicago for all of your metropolitan desires.
