Rush University, IL

Rush University, located on the West Side of Chicago, is a medical training institution that is comprised of Rush Medical College, the Rush University College of Nursing, the Rush University College of Health Sciences, and the Graduate College of Rush University. Rush Medical College has been involved with education and student living since 1837, when the school received its charter, two days before Chicago, Illinois, was chartered as a city. Today, Rush University accommodates nearly 2,000 students with academic instruction, advising and student housing in the thriving city.

Student living at Rush University takes many forms, depending on the student's interests, aptitudes and career goals. In addition to offering several colleges and areas of study, the institution enhances its instruction through use of the Rush University Medical Center, a 613-bed teaching hospital for adults and children, and the 61-bed Johnston R. Bowman Health Center. Positioned in the Illinois Medical District, the hospitals and learning centers at Rush University give students a closer look at the responsibilities of their profession, as well as hands-on experience in the career.
