There are positives and negatives to this place. Its not horrible, but not great either. Like the other person who listed the pros and cons, I will also do the same thing and give my opinion on the place. I'd say that the most accurate post to date is the person who did the pros and cons, so I will do the same.
The pros:
Cheaper rent than almost anywhere in Naperville, the fact that you get a 1250sq foot apt. with 2 beds and 2 baths for about $1,500 with utilities included, besides electric, that's great.
People are nice here, I never got into it with anybody here, not even close.
Its quiet
Its safe
The staff are nice and the maintenance guys are cool.
Now the cons
Absolutely no curb appeal just like the other person said. The paint is chipping off of the entrance rails, the lights are 2 different colors in the halls which just doesn't make it looks nice and it looks weird. The elevators need to be replaced, they're old, and they dont work sometimes and they get stuck
I'd say almost half the time, the floors smell, it's always something different, whether it smells like garbage, or wet dog hair, or whatever it may be, it's annoying. It costs about 100 bucks to put air fresheners in all the halls of an apartment and elevator then it costs about 50 bucks a month after to refill the cartridges, and it makes it a much better environment
The maintenance as far as my experience has been, has not been coming to fix anything that I've asked for them to fix. Not sure if that's a management issue that they dont send out the work orders or whatever it may be but its definitely annoying having to remind them 4 times just to get someone out here.
Potholes in the parking lots, I mean big ones, I can't stress this enough when I say that I feel like I'm doing slaloms in the parking lot to avoid breaking a strut, or cracking a rim.
Overall:
If you can put up with the bad parking lots, and the smells in the halls, bad elevators and just get in your apartment, youl be fine.

The office staff is very helpful. We visited multiple times to see different layouts. The biggest benefit here is definitely that - large units for a great price, and lower move-in fees. However, ultimately we could not move here because there was a distinct, strong smell of mold on one of the floors and it got me very sick. The building in general always had an older smell to it, but mold sticks out very clearly when it is present. We do wish that wasn't the case, as it was a great option for us up until that point.

I have lived at Sherry Apartments in Naperville for a number of years. I have a number of comments about the complex that should assist others so they know what they are getting.
First the positives:
The location and safety are excellent.
The apartments are large and well built.
The maintenance staff is very good.
There are no extra fees for water, sewer and trash.
Now the negatives:
The overall maintenance of the property is poor.
You can tell when you look at the property as you approach. There is no curb appeal. The lights on the sign dont work and the parking lot lights are not maintained. There are dead trees that have not been removed and when large branches fall to the ground they are not removed. The landscaping is deplorable.
There are potholes throughout the parking lot, at night you could trip in these and get injured.
There are abandoned vehicles in the parking lot. Some have been there for years.
Entrances to the three buildings are in need of paint and the lighting is poor. Handrails throughout the property are not stable or are broken.
The entrance foyers are unpleasant and not maintained. The mats are never replaced, just vacuumed. Some cover missing tiles which again are a hazard.
The elevators get stuck. Lights in halls, entrances and hallways are not replaced in a timely fashion.
The office staff never leaves the office. They should daily walk the buildings so they can see the tenants that leave things in the halls, clutter the balconies with junk and fail to clean up after their dogs.
If you can close your eyes and get into your apartment you will love Sherry Apartments. Unfortunately most of us can see.
