Terrible management, horrible customer service. I lived here for 6 months - it was a disaster.
My family and I have lived at City View since 2014 and have not always been pleased with management or the apartments themselves. We pay $2,400 + per month for an older model apartment. The rent is overpriced and the apartment complex itself is overrated. Fire alarms are consistently going off in the middle of the night. My children have missed school several times a year due to lack of sleep from these ridiculous non-emergency alarms. We have recently had the opportunity to move into a beautiful townhouse at a lower rate and more sq. ft. and closer to work! Upon attempting to put in our 30 day notice to vacate, we were told that they would only be able to accept our notice along with $4,554, up front. We asked if we could pay more than half of the amount up front and the rest within the 30 days before we move out and they said, no. I'm sorry, Paul didn't just say no, he was darn right rude, over the phone that is. I wish he would have come out of his office while we were in there discussing the issue with one of the reps. He went on to say, "No we can't accept the notice unless it's paid in full and if you move out regardless in January without paying it's called skipping!" We didn't mention anything about just moving out. No one can predict life changes, and paying that much up front is nearly entrapment.
-Rent is overpriced for this apartment complex.
-The garage ALWAYS smells disgusting and is not heated.
-Management is friendly when you move in, only.
-Maintenance is never timely.
-Birds come in through the open vents on the sides of the building risking bird mites. CAREFUL!
-The pool is NOT heated, despite what they tell you.
-Clubhouse is open to everyone, even when you are having a gathering in there.
-They will not replace broken blinds, claiming vinyl are meant to last. Pft. In what world do they last? They'll charge $35 a set to change them when they cost $9.99 at Walmart.
-I've had stolen packages and mail.
Nice unit, newly remodeled.
Maintenance very responsive.
Cubby hole where garbage chute is located including the garbage chute is the nastiest I've ever seen or smelled.
The building's office personnel some are very nice & welcoming, while others are not nice or welcoming so much so if I had more time I would have moved elsewhere.
Garage has lots of parking, however people drive too fast-has only two side by side speed bumps per garage level-recommend more speed bumps for safety sake.
However, I am settling in, will see how the year here pans out.
