DONT RENT HERE! I just moved In a month ago and the noise is horrendous. The is zero sound proofing so you can hear everything around you. No one is able to do anything about it either. Parking is not in the building and you have to park between the 11-15th floor of the public space next to the building which they conveniently dont tell you when you are looking. Management will do anything to get a dollar out of you...ie they say the gave space for bikes but of course that tiny bike closet is full so you can pay a monthly fee to store it somewhere else...issues like this abound. The place is beautiful but I deeply regret moving here already.
I only wish I had read all the reviews about this place prior to signing a lease here.
Last weekend while lounging on my new terrace, my neighbor 2 floors directly above me decided to wash his urine soaked balcony so that a deluge of urine fell on me. This was not a few drips of urine, it lasted for over 10 minutes of a steady flow fell down - on me, my hair, on my clothes, and all over the terrace, and soaked my brand new patio set (cushions included).
If that wasnt horrific enough, it was the incredibly poor management that made this experience that much more of a nightmare. No one would come clean the terrace. I was also being told I would get calls back throughout the day, explaining some kind of plan for cleaning, but no one would actually call me back (concierge, or management) (eg, well call you in 30 mins or by the end of day - and nothing).
Finally management calls me, actually yelling at me on the phone that the people there on the weekends didnt know what to do, that maintenance doesnt work at ALL on the weekends AND that she wont promise this wont happen again because they cant control every little thing (I kid you not - apparently a public heath hazard is a little thing).
Finally a day later maintenance, along with management, comes to mop up the terrace and I ask about my ruined patio cushion. Management tells me she took photos and shell let me know what they can do. Not surprisingly, I never heard from her again, and I will have to throw out my brand new urine soaked patio cushion.
The saddest part was that no one seemed the least bit shocked or embarrassed that one of their residents routinely disposes of biological waste on their fellow neighbors!!!
Also - when I first moved in, the terrace stunk horribly of urine. Now I understand why: this isnt the first time my neighbor dumped urine all over the terrace, and I had the pleasure of sitting outside breathing it all in those prior weeks.
Save your hard earned $$$
This place is a joke. Without warning, after two years of living here (and just signing a third lease) they have now determined that all residents must pick up their newspapers every morning from the front desk. No warning, I just stopped getting my paper on monday, and then found them all when I went to pick up packages. The lack of hospitality is unbelievable, which may explain the constant turnover of apartments. I have had more neighbors in two years here, than I had in the prior five living in this neighborhood. The other cimplaints about noise and mismanagement are true, I suppose I have stayed here because I work strange enough hours that I am not affected as much by noise, but this situation is the straw that broke the camel's back. I intend to speak (again) with management... but I expect nothing to come of it.
