Oh, you wish you were an Oscar Meyer...In 1883, brothers Oscar, 24, and Gottfried, 21, opened Kolling Meat Market along the very road you may shortly call home, Sedgwick Street. By 1893, the soon-to-be sausage empire expanded, and was a local sponsor of the Chicago World's Fair. Flash forward. Today Oscar Meyer & Company remains a thriving family business, three generations worth.
Now to the meat of the matter - 2051 North Sedgwick. A vintage residence just off Armitage and Lincoln, a rental home that cuts the mustard with all the ingredients for prime city living, among them: hardwood floors, spacious oversized closets, new kitchen appliances including dishwasher and microwave, and amenities such as internet, heat, natural gas and water. Hot dog!
