The staff at Gentry Square were incredible. Even though we lived there in the middle of an extensive construction period (which could be frustrating at times), they communicated well with us and minimized the inconveniences whenever possible. The community is quiet and well-maintained. The extra facilities were great while we were there and new and improved facilities are being introduced regularly, it seems. We were very sad to leave and would rent here again in a heartbeat.
The management is very responsive and maintenance is quick when a request is made. I think that the rent is far too high for what you get in an apartment here. The floorplans aren't huge and the spaces like the kitchen and bathroom are pretty cramped. Some design choices were pretty poor. For example, the curved shower rod in the bathroom was an especially bad decision. With the shower curtain closed, it hangs over the toilet. This means the toilet can't be used without the shower curtain partially laying on the person using it. On top of that, the bathroom is just very cramped overall. When I was touring other apartments, I instantly noticed how much more spacious the bathrooms are. Another thing I do not like about my apartment at Gentry square is the lack of natural light. There are only two windows in my unit and having a northern exposure makes the problem worse. It gets pretty dim and depressing in here and having to rely on lamps in the living room make it worse. I'm living in a renovated unit, but the little metal bar that separates the carpet and the laminate flooring is very ugly and detracts from the premium look that the granite counters give. I also do not like how far a decent selection of restaurants and shops is.
It's way too expensive for the size of living quarters that they offer. The staff is the best you could have but it still comes down to the rent amount. Too much for what they offer.
Gentry Square is a great place to live. I have been here several years and love the community feeling that the office and maintenance staff have created. The apartments are nice and the grounds are always well kept. My dog and I love feeling welcomed here!
There are many reasons why I love living at Gentry Square Apartments. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond in caring for our apartments and our communities. The apartments themselves are beautiful and spatious and nice to live in.
