York Brook Apartments

When I first moved here it was fine and I enjoyed the complex. Now they have these parking regulations where we only get 5 passes A MONTH. So that means we can only have overnight guest 5 days out of the month. In an apartment that I pay rent on time every month is now saying is basically monitoring my guests. It's completely outrageous to tell adults when and who they can have at their apartment. Then they say a guest can apply for a pass but they have to pass a background check! What sense does it make to have guest and family have a background check ran just to essentially park where their friend or family lives? Completely and utter nonsense. The people in the leasing office are not understanding whatsoever to the point it becomes an argument where they basically say they don't care if our guest get their car towed even thought as residents we take the precautions to prevent that. I actually enjoyed this place when I first moved here but now it seems like I'm living in a retirement home where management tries to micro-manage everything their residents do. Every year is a new restriction or violation that they implement and it's getting very ridiculous at this point.
The management has absolutely the worse attitude horrible customer service. I'll never understand how you can go back and forth and basically get into an argument with people and you're the one spending the money to live there.There were a few good employees working here and actually understanding of our problems in the office but It seems they all left and I understand why.

We will be here 2 years in April and all I can honestly say is that our time here has been quite enjoyable and pleasant. Even though we have raised concern to several issues I will say they were in fact taken care of as promised despite the time we needed to wait on resolution to them. All of maintenance deserves a raise and to be acknowledged because honestly they are the hardest working men I know and truly go above n beyond for all who reside here. The property manager Linda is a perfect addition to the property as well and hears you out whenever you need to be heard or have a special request. Those in the office have always been helpful however at times can be a bit moody. I understand however seeing as i myself work in the industry and see its not always easy handling numerous complaints, work orders, packages, calls, etc on a daily basis. Overall though I would give this place a 4 out of 5 stars. The only downfalls are parking issues, washer n dryers need updating, cabinets in kitchen are painted over n chip easily, and utility costs are extremely high in terms of water and electric bills. If those issues could be resolved I would have given 5/5! This place is beautiful otherwise exterior wise and very comfortable living wise. Very grateful for all the workers here.

My first year here, extremely happy, halls and elevators cleaned daily, grounds well kept, laundry and gym pristine, office personnel professional and friendly, prompt response to maintenance issues,, entire staff and ground crew will make your stay a pleasurable one, great atmosphere for comfortable living.

We have not moved in yet, so I will leave a more complete review later when we move in, in June.
There's a lady Claudia that works in the office. I don't know how much longer because she's pregnant and due in July 2018, but anyway...she's a real sweetheart. She has been extremely patient with me as I ask a LOT of questions. She answered all my questions, promptly emailing me within 24 hours. The property looks nice and has good amenities. They are a little bit higher than surrounding apartments in the area, but I believe it will be worth it. Things to consider, the apartments are all-electric, so utilities could be kinda high. Hope this helps anyone looking for a place.

Great place to live. Just worth the space & more.
