All about

Brigham Young University Idaho, ID

Owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), Brigham Young University has several campuses - one of which is located in Rexburg, Idaho. With a student enrollment of roughly 14,000 - 99 percent of which are directly involved in the LDS Church - apartment renters may think that the BYU-I area is all about academics and religious stricture, but this is just not the case. The area surrounding Brigham Young University also has much to offer in the way of leisure and recreation.

To learn a little bit about the local area's history, apartment renters in the BYU-I region will want to head to the Teton Flood Museum, located in the basement of the Tabernacle Building. Named the "Teton Flood" Museum in memory of the fateful disaster that occurred on June 5, 1976, the Tabernacle still sports the water mark left by the 80 billion gallons of water that rushed through the Rexburg area. Full of antique relics from the pioneer days, the museum will leave visitors substantially more informed.

Five miles south of Rexburg is Yellowstone Bear World, an attraction in the Brigham Young University area that allows apartment renters to view the local wildlife up-close, without leaving the safety of an automobile. If you are a dune buggy, snow mobile or sandboarding enthusiast, then the St. Anthony sand dunes are your proverbial "heaven". With over 41,000 acres of shifting geography, the white rolling hills range in height form 200 to 300 feet. Apartment renters should make sure to bring adequate supplies, however, as this destination in the BYU-I region can be quite remote in some areas.
