Great area of town! Yes, they are a bit dated however you should know that upon moving in. The property management company is great to work with!

I recently moved out of the Cambridge apartments after living there for 5 years. These apartments are in a great location. Over the last five years there have been numerous problems with this apartment, mostly due to age, and it has been extremely frustrating dealing with the Commercial Northwest Property Management Company. The air conditioning and water are consistently breaking and being turned off. In the summer air conditioning is controlled by management and they wait until the last possible moment to turn on the air. Moving out was extremely difficult. I asked to have a walk through with maintenance before moving. After waiting 30 minutes past the scheduled appointment time I called the management company and when I told them who I had been emailing about setting up the walk through I was told that person wouldn't have talked to me about that. when I told them I have the emails I was put on hold. Maintenance showed up about 5 minutes later. If you do decide to live here be extremely careful and document everything when you are moving out. I didn't receive any move out paperwork from management even though we did a walk through together. I also had to email the management company because they hadn't sent my security deposit or invoice on time. I moved out on June 30th and didn't receive the paperwork until August 10. I was also extremely disappointed that the apartment decided to keep as much of my security deposit as they could. I was told that we had left the apartment move in ready and was still charged $123 for cleaning as well as an additional $40 for paint even thought the spot they had to paint was from maintenance fixing a leak in the ceiling, that was never painted because maintenance "couldn't match the color". Apparently that became less of a problem when I was paying for the paint. I was also charged to remove a blue stain in the carpet that was from the same plumber who fixed the leak.

I've lived here for several years -- while it is true the management kept changing, it did for the better. The current company is nothing short of amazing. As with any apartments, unexpected things happen, but nothing that I could ever honestly state as completely unacceptable. My maintenance issues area resolved within 24 hours, the community is kept clean and well maintained. It is 95% completely quiet. Blocks from downtown, when considering location and utilities include, the pricing isn't unreasonable. I've taken any increase in stride (for 7 years). It is rare people will take the time to make a positive review and I'm happy to be a rarity (take that into consideration when looking at reviews! Happy people tend to say nothing.)

Do NOT move here. There have been plumbing problems in the complex and they have been digging holes and leaving the place a mess for the last 7 months now. They have charged both my roommate and me a late fee on our rent twice now even though they pay it early. The rent has now been raised. There is dog poop everywhere. They come and boot your car if you forget to put your pass up. Both the bathroom sink and the tub clog up constantly and we have to have them come fix it. The heating and air conditioning is a mess, it is now 80 degrees out and they havent switched the heating to air, so we are unable to use it. The workers who work here fixing things are constantly smoking near our home and throwing their butts on our porch. Management is hard to get ahold of and overall too expensive for the quality of apartment. I suggest you look elsewhere!
