All about

Hawaii Pacific University, HI

Known as HPU, Hawaii Pacific University is the largest private university in the central Pacific. With a diverse student body satelliting the institution's main location in Honolulu, the HPU area offers a wide variety of cultural and recreational experiences students looking to rent an apartment can take advantage of.

Though academics are great, one cannot ignore the fact that this educational hub is located on the island of Oahu, a place many would consider akin to paradise. The volume of adventure to be had in the HPU area will leave many apartment-renting students wondering if there's any time to be had for studying.

One of the most well-known attractions on Oahu is Diamond Head Crater, a volcanic tuff cone roughly 200,000 years old. Take the 1.1 kilometer hike to the center, but remember to bring some water and a good pair of shoes, as the terrain can get a little rough.  Afterwards, chill out and spend a couple of days camping at Ka'ena Point, one of the few permit-free camping areas on the island. This is truly one of the most secluded spots in the HPU area so apartment renters should remember to bring plenty of supplies. To really get your adrenaline going, the area is also host to numerous cliff-diving spots like Waimea and La'ie Point - just make sure you have some good health insurance coverage.

Apartment renters in the HPU area interested in the surrounding marine wildlife should head to the Waik?k? Aquarium. With a well-educated staff and a huge assortment of animals, you can get to know the local beasties up close.
