I have not had working ac or regular heat for over a month. The gate rarely functions properly. The trash out front overflows constantly. The office staff has very poor customer service. DO NOT MOVE HERE
I have lived at The Palmer (previously The Terraces at Towne Lake) for two years now. Greystar recently (Nov. 2017) took over this community from MAA and changed the name to The Palmer. Thus far I am very displeased with Greystar.
Greystar changed the road sign to show the new name (The Palmer). The gates are only working 50% of the time. They have updated some of the signs within the community. Not all of them quite yet.
It took Greystar THREE MONTHS to get an online portal setup for work orders and online rent payments. And even to this day (March 1, FIVE MONTHS NOW) they still do not provide rent statements or update the online portal with your balance. Due to Greystars complete LACK of providing rent statements or updating their online portal with rent dues, I was left with no other option but to call or go by the office to find out how much I owed. I called The Palmer on Friday, February 23rd, to inquire about how much rent would be due on March 1 (three business days prior to the rent being due). The representative gave me a dollar amount, I confirmed by reading the amount back and she confirmed a second time that the amount was correct. Now (today) March 1 rolls around and she told me THE WRONG AMOUNT. I now owe more money. How hard does it have to be to get the correct rent dues from this company? They are not doing THEIR job, I called THEM and they can't even give me the correct balance due! I am extremely disappointed in the performance of Greystar thus far. I hate living here. DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE.
The staff here are are not capable, they are a complete failure and an embarrassment to the business world.
**THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE SIGNING A LEASE**
1. Comcast/Xfinity is REQUIRED. You do not have a choice in your ISP selection. Cable is billed through Greystar, internet must be added on separately through Xfinity. If you want HD channels this is also added on through Xfinity.
2. Water is billed PER BUILDING and split equally between aptments
In November 2017 the new management company switched over. Maintenance requests take forever to be even looked at. I submitted two maintenance requests THREE times until it was serviced. Front office claimed the maintenance requests were accidentally deleted, yet they never emailed out to residents to let us know wed have to resubmit them. Ive submitted three maintenance requests since December, and each of them have taken a minimum of 6 days to have been looked at. Going on month three, and our rent balance is still not available with their online portal. Serious bug issues, roaches and beettles in the warmer months. The front desk tells you its because of surrounding neighbors not allowing pest control in their apartment. Yet, pest control does not come regularly when asked. Walls are thin and you can hear conversations upstairs, or next door to you. Appliances are old and not in good repair, and overall the molding/insulation/cabinets/overall look of the apartment has not been taken care of. Lots of kids in the complex, so expect between 3-9pm lots of kids running around and screaming in the hallways. Office staff are unknowledgeable and have treated me as if I were being a nuance for asking to pick up packages or pay rent. The trash compactor works about 50% of the time, and when it doesnt the complex lets it pile up for days. That being said, the location and proximity to everything in the community is the sole thing keeping me here.
I am looking for an apt pet friendly. I never lived in these apts. But I like apt living. It is easy to maintain.i would like to be considered as a possible remnant thank you Jennifer Cottingham
