Truett-McConnell College is a private institution in Cleveland, Georgia. The school has been operated by the Georgia Baptist Convention since 1946.
The GBC elected to start the two-year college and name it after two influential Baptist pastors, George W. Truett and Fernando C. McConnell. Since then, the school has grown in size considerably. Nearly a decade ago, the college began offering four-year degrees, and has seen attendance rise since then. Truett-McConnell offers robust student living, activities and course selection, with programs in a number of Christian majors as well as traditional studies like English and History. The college also offers courses online.
However, one doesn't get the real experience of college unless they live in student housing near the university. Truett-McConnell has a great location in northern Georgia, with the city of Cleveland located very close to the Blue Ridge Mountains and Chattahoochee National Forest. Most students would likely be jealous of the beautiful views afforded to those who opt to rent college apartments in this part of the country.
On the weekends, the city of Atlanta is not too far away, and many students who live in off campus apartments opt to go explore for a few days.
