We've been living here since 08/2019. On 9/20/2019 our community laundry area's dryers complete stopped working. Before this point they could barely be called functional, it literally took $20 to ALMOST dry clothes. That is not an exaggeration. We were curious and actually ran the dryer enough times to waste $20.
We had managed to air dry the damp post-dryer clothing up until the day the dryers were disabled (9/20/2019). I put in a service request for it. My request was canceled. I went to the office and raised concerns. On 10/27/2019 I put in another request. This was also canceled. On 11/3/2019 I realized the vents were not attached at all to the dryer. This was a huge liability for a fire because they are gas operated and the room was actually starting to smell like gas. I put in another request and also emailed Wilkinson Asset Management, LLC customer service. Loni Hale was kind enough to inform me that they had ordered the part and that she would 'bother them every 48 hours until they get a ship date'. I was not contacted by Loni again about the vents. However I was informed the gas had been turned off.
On 12/31/2019 I submitted my 5th request to have the dryers fixed. It again was canceled. Today, 1/3/2020 at 6:35pm I tried again, submitting a request to have the vents attached. At 6:44pm I received an email from the manager email address stating a technician had completed my request. IMMEDIATELY I went out to take these photos. A technician never came. The old, hole filled vents are still laying on the ground. There are no new vents in the room at all. No sign if the natural gas is on or off. No note indicating a visit from maintenance.
I email the manager email address back with these photos, and a forwarded email from Loni Hale stating that there was indeed a work order put in for the vents. Tomorrow morning I'm going into the office to hopefully finally get this problem looked into.
If you don't own your own washer and dryer, don't live here.

I usually do not write reviews, however I thought I would write this one. I chose this apartment due to the price and needed an apartment quickly. The price should be cheaper due to how dated the apartments are. You get what you pay for. In the interim, it still does not mean that you should receive sub-par service. The apartments have major problems, whereas they are just covered up on the surface instead of being completely corrected. The apartment complex changed management again. The maintenance manager Carlos was great; however he no longer works at this complex. The apartments are very dated and need major recon-structuring. Once you sign, you are committed for a year of whatever comes along. Be careful of the positive reviews.
I just want to Say that i am a resident at Forest Ridge and the staff ay the leasing Office has always been super Nice and now with all the renovations the prooerty looks amazing
Marietta/Cumberland has way better to offer. We tried to save money staying here but this god forsaken apartment complex ended up costing us MORE than the newer apartments in better locations. The apartments are in need of much more than basic cosmetic renovations. Our gas bills were almost $300 dollars for a small 3 bd in the winter, and we weren't even there half the time! Insulation is trash and HVAC is incredibly loud. On top of that the new management schemes to take money from you with petty fines and hidden policies in the lease. They are charging us $1100 for not giving our notice to leave within 60 DAYS. How ridiculous is that? I think they know NO ONE is going to want to live there with their terrible mismanagement! Many vacated units at the time of this writing. LOOK ELSEWHERE!
