    I lived at the Massee for almost 4 years. DO NOT LIVE HERE. Almost all of the residents I know (including myself) had their car broken into at least once while parked in the parking lot or in front of the building. The hot water gets shut off for some reason or another for hours at a time at least once a month. The apartment is 8 floors and yet the elevator breaks down at least once every 2 weeks. There has been such a high rate of turnover of residents, handy people, cleaners, and owners. There were two break ins (once someone tried to kick in the door to a girls apartment and once the guy got into the building with a crowbar) while I lived there. The new owners chose to spend money on aesthetic things like lawn care and new bushes rather than fixing up the actual things residents care about. Also there are literally no amenities so Im not sure what your thousand dollars a month are going towards especially when most units dont have washer or dryer hookups, so you have to pay for laundry. There has also been a bat in the laundry room. Four years ago, this apartment was cheap and crappy. Now its expensive and crappy.

    My daughter is moving to Macon to attend Mercer Law School next semester. Tiffany gave us a tour of the building and we were really impressed by it's rich history and proximity to the school. Tiffany made us really feel at home and welcomed. After touring other buildings, we picked The Massee.

    Rent has been going up despite no changes or updates to improve units. The units are quite old. Cabinets have layers of disgusting paint. Wood and paint are constantly chipping away. Management does a poor job of repairs and does cheap temporary fixes rather than fixing the issue. There is a horrible pest problem and bats have been found in the building. Tenants are neglected once you sign the lease. Not worth the price, with the increase in rent, it's better to go and get a loft in actual downtown.

    Terrible experience....called atleast 20 times no answer...left messages numerous times and when I finally talked to someone was told no vacancies even though residence there said multiple openings....just left a bad taste in my mouth...thank God I didn't move there
