Front office and maintenance staff have been amazing. We have had recurring trouble with our ac unit, but they have always responded promptly to fix it
My roommate and I are tenants at Radius at Sandy Springs. Unfortunately, since the property has begun (and finished some) renovations in our building (2700) we have seen an increase in bugs, specifically ROACHES at least every other day. Early, around 2am on Tuesday, September 5th I was awakened to a giant water bug roach crawling on my shoulder in my bed. We have done a diligent job in keeping our apartment clean, especially because we also have a 10-month old baby that lives here as well. As you can imagine, waking up to a GIANT ROACH crawling on you is NOT acceptable or the ideal living situation. That morning, we complained to one of the leasing agents in the office who seemed VERY unsympathetic to our situation. She actually BLAMED us because we had not submitted a request for pest control in over a month. We were unaware that it was our responsibility to constantly submit pest control requests on a monthly basis, especially considering the fact that we pay a monthly pest control fee with our rent. In addition to the roaches, there have been other tiny black bugs (picture attached) that have shown up almost daily in the kitchen and bathroom areas. The leasing agent simply dismissed the bug after correcting me that it wasnt actually a roach as if we should not complain about having it in our home.
The leasing agent did put a request in for pest control to come out to our apartment that Wednesday, and although we were not home to see them, there was a business card left on the counter when we returned home from work, so we assume they had sprayed. However, that very next day, September 6th in the evening there was another giant water-bug roach in the master bedroom. What brought me to writing this email was that tonight, September 9th, we have killed two (2) more roaches in one night. We do understand that this is an apartment, and bugs may appear from time-to-time, however in the past week, we have experienced four (4) plus roaches!
I recently moved from apartment to another. The communication skills of the staff desperately need improvement. Appointments were missed repeatedly without followup. The staff routinely ignored calls and did not return messages. I attempted to contact the manager twice and still have not heard back. The staff was also very inconsistent and uneducated in the pricing of the services they provide. I received 3 different quotes for lease transfer.
Excellent customer service. Tanya rocks!!!
Management is horrible. Takes forever to get anything done. They never answer phones. They're lazy, don't seem to care about residents, resident retention, or overall satisfaction. They lack communication skills, they are slow to follow up with any concerns. Also, their use of the English language is awful (see all mailers/emails they send out), and lots of other things I don't have space for here.
