Don't be fooled by the extremely outdated pictures. There is no functioning pool (closed for repairs 6 YEARS), no playground, and a revolving door of leasing agents(4-6 within the last year), and several maintenance crews. The previous and current management company is to blame. It is obvious that they intend to make little (paint, carpet cleaning) or no real investment in repairing the property. There are several cases of wall mold, pest infestation, ceiling collasping, and severe roof leaks (this unit included). My 1+ year old request for relocation to another apartment is constantly delayed by new management, a new agent or failure of the apartment itself to pass code inspections. It is my opinion, that the new owners lack the skills necessary to effectively and efficiently manage this apartment complex. That is unfortunate because it has such great potential--large square footage, a roommate floorplan with spacious bedrooms, two full baths, fireplace, w/d room, appliances, and lots of windows. The small size of the complex and its location to schools, stores, the Marta station and proximity to downtown Decatur lends itself to be an ideal place to live. However, it will take a lot more than just a "LITTLE tender loving care" to restore this place. I suggest starting with a stable, business-savvy manager who understands that you have to spend money to make money.
