You hear so much of what goes on downstairs/under you, and upstairs/above you. The stairs up to the apartments are filthy and never cleaned.
They have turned their office into a 'club house' for residents. However, they rarely answer the office phone and the manager's office stays locked most of the time.
Parking in front of your building, is almost impossible. Trash (mattresses, couches, broken dressers) pile up in front of the dumpster, and you see it when you first enter the apartments. I am done!!
They have a bad bugs issue
The apartments and the community here are nice, but they need to hire more office staff or something. I have lived here for almost 5 months now and every time I have gone to turn in my rent check, the office has been locked because they are out "showing an apartment." Even today when I went 10 minutes after they opened, no one was around to take my check. I end up having to go back several times/wait until the next day before I can actually pay my rent, and this is a big inconvenience. I understand that I can pay online, but I cannot afford the ridiculous fee that paying online requires. Plus, in addition to the office being closed a lot, it usually takes five or more phone calls to get through to someone if you have a question. The staff in the office are nice and accommodating, but that does not matter much in my eyes if they are never around when I need them.
Newly renovated units are clean...ish. Well, at least the appliances, carpets, and paint on the walls are new.
The maintenance guys seem like good people that are trying.
Every outlet is painted over. Every. Single. One. The coax for cable, the rj11 outlets for phone, the washer hookups. There's random paint all over the place on my counters in my kitchen and bathroom. The refrigerators have ice makers, but aren't hooked up for it. It took a week for my kitchen to get lights and the dishwasher to be fully installed. I'm still finding screws and other random debris in my carpets when I vacuum or walk around. The windows are still the old style so they are super thin and let in all the noise (random trains) and presumably let out all your A/C and heat. Parking gets terrible on the weekends.
Would I pick this place again? I don't know. I was stuck for time and there's not that many great places in Augusta that were willing to do a < year lease.
It's fine if someone actually talk to me about the apartment
