Walton on the Chattahoochee is a wonderful place to live and find community. It is a gem in Atlanta and very healing with the nature all around. I am very blessed to live here.
My experience at Walton on the Chattahoochee has been mixed. I initially loved the community - the river views, natural trails, outdoor seating, coffee shop, community events, and quick maintenance team are truly phenomenal. The location can't be beat, and I could see myself living here and loving it for years. Staff has been response, and the appliances work well. My experience soured after a rat found its way into our apartment. I read a review warning of rats initially while researching this apartment complex, but it was one among many excellent reviews, so I ignored it. I would encourage others to rent at Walton, but only on the top floors if they don't own a cat/dog/rat traps, or are not bothered by sealing all food in the fridge/sturdy tupperware and don't mind waking up to bits of their floor shredded each morning.
I love the sense of community fostered by management and residents.
The setting of these apartments is very special. There is a sense of being in a natural oasis in the middle of the city. The staff and all other residents have all been friendly and if one is open to it the place has a great sense of community that has been very welcoming.
Comment is just for management. The tennis court issue will be a big deal for many people in this community. I understand that this is a business and you are going to do what is best for the complex in the future, but there will be backlash. It seems to be one of the things you can do to prove you listen to your residents. I've signed no less than 3 petitions against it so that will play into the decision to renew my lease. I do not play tennis, by the way, but I feel the people have spoken. Exclusivity is Walton on the Chattahoochie's best friend judging by the constant amount of visitor vehicles entering the property every day
