I have lived at Legacy Key for four months now. I love that I can walk to the stores, QT or down to the river. It is right on a bus route. My son actually picked out the apartment, comparing it to others in nearby locations it seemed to be the best in regards to price, location and size. We could also get Google Fiber. I would like to thank Alexander (the Leasing Consultant) for the time he spent sending me information and for staying late when we arrived at the end of the day. We had problems in our bathroom after moving in, we reported it to the staff but they had been unable to get back to us before the movers arrived at 7 in the morning! I ran down to the office, only to realize that it wasnt yet open. Marcus (the Maintenance Supervisor) found me there and came immediately to resolve the problem. It did take a couple of days to fix but he kept me notified of what was happening. I found out later that he had just started at Legacy Key. I was amazed, he had been so calm and professional, I was sure he had been here for years. The laundry facility is working and the pool was still open for swimming in October, that was a surprise to me being from the north. I walk frequently around the grounds and now know most of the maintenance staff by name. They are always busy in the morning cleaning up the yards, streets and mowing the lawns. The neighbors are friendly and all the dogs Ive seen have been leashed. I have had a couple of small maintenance issues since I have been here and Marcus has had them fixed quickly and professionally. I am glad I signed a one year lease and would gladly recommend these apartments.
Lived here for 2 years and I would never advise anyone to live here. First of all the management is very rude and unprofessional. Our laundry facility was down for almost 10 months and not only did they NOT let us know in advance that it would be down because they were "remodeling" it but they never gave us any updates on when it would be back up and running nor any suggestions on the nearest/cheapest laundromats to go to instead. This complex is huge and there's only one of everything. One trash can, one mailbox center and everything is at the front of the complex, which sucks for the people all the way in the back. The pool was NEVER OPEN IN MY ENTIRE 2 YEARS LIVING HERE. The gates are always broke so anybody can just drive in/through your complex and disturb the peace. Everything is always broken here including the water which is always going through some type of " emergency maintenance" where it needs to be shut off almost every week. The leasing office switches managements every time you look up and they just consistently get worse each time. These apartments are also extremelyyyyyy small for what they want you to pay for them. You're going to pay almost if not more than $1,000 (not including water, trash, and sewer fees) to basically be living in a box with a roof on it. And even if you clean your apartment completely out and make sure nothing is broke, damaged, or dirty upon moving out they still WILL NOT GIVE YOU BACK YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT! They will make up a lie saying its not refundable even though your lease says otherwise. Overall, living at Legacy Key apartments was definitely a stressful experience that I would not wish on anyone. There is no peace of mind for all the money you're paying to live here so you might as well spend your money somewhere where you can get good quality and quantity.
