If I could give the apartment complex a 0 star rating I would. While a good location relevant to the downtown area as well as the campus, I would highly urge to find elsewhere to live. While the concept of individual leases is great in reducing financial responsibility for other roommates, it opened up an entirely dangerous situation for me as well as 2 of my other roommates. Our office does not conduct any form of background checks into tenants and placed a tenant in our apartment which for multiple reasons compromised our safety. We were reduced to locking our doors at night as well as having a taser on hand when in our common living areas. The office does not offer to assist in splitting utilities for tenants so the randomly placed roommate put myself as well as the other 2 roommates in a financial burden by refusing to pay bills. When we complained to management multiple times about fear for our safety and not being payed, their response was simply that they were there solely to collect rent and not to settle what they considered "personal matters". If you value your safety I would encourage you to look elsewhere. Management does nothing to assist tenants in any ways other than to collect their packages for them.
On a side note, they also do not properly ensure the health of their tenants. On numerous occasions I filed work orders to have a leak in my roof fixed as every time it rained my wall would be soaked. Not to mention the mold that forms through that damp environment. Instead of fixing and resolving the issue at hand by remedying the leak, they opted for the cheaper "bandaid" to the problem and simply painted over the leak stains in my bedroom once they deemed the wall dry.
I lived here 2 years and I urge anyone to look elsewhere for a place to live.
whistle bury walk has a great location and decent apartments, but the staff is horrible. They are unprofessional and Ill equipped to be working in property management. There is no communication from the office to the residents other than to promote drinking, which is fine and dandy but let me know when things are happening maybe ? Their maintenance people are good at what they do but oftentimes enter an apartment without knocking or making sure anyone is home.
I have lived at Whistlebury Walk for the past two years. I love the location and the setup of my apartment. The management team is usually very responsive, and they do their best to accommodate every request.
The apartment was in poor condition upon move-in (dirty, scuff marks all over the walls, missing blinds). I have also received poor customer service from those who work in the office. For example, I was given a mailbox key that did not open my mailbox. When I went to ask for another, their official copy also did not work. They did not solve this, I just never got a key that actually works. They have also been rude and unprofessional.
