You want to be close to campus. Maybe you don't have a car, or maybe you just don't want to deal with trying to find a parking spot. Which we all know is often a lost cause. Living close to campus means less parking headaches and a few extra minutes to snooze in the morning.
At UNIVERSITY TRAILS you will be less than a 0.25 mile from TCC, a mile and a half from Florida State University, and just over three miles from FAMU. You cannot get much closer to campus without living in the dorms! This Tallahassee apartment community is also located near several bus lines so you can save on gas money, too.

This apartment complex does not have any video surveillance. This became an issue when a resident / visitor of the complex brutually destroyed my friends car, leaving the scene and the vehicle completely undriveable and posing an environmental hazard. The front end was almost entirely torn off, and various mechanical elements had been destroyed. The damage of over $10,000 was unable to be attributed to the appropriate party due to the lack of surveillance and security surrounding the property.
Do not live here! Management changed in March and has been nothing but rude and extremely indifferent to their residents. Theyve done a so called upgrade thats more of a DOWNGRADE. Smaller couches, no dining room table. And Im the rooms replaced queen size beds with full size, smaller dressers, and took away the night stands. Whole community complained and they didnt even care. But have the audacity to up the rent. I wouldnt bother with this place.
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!
Wish I could give 0 stars. This staff is not working on improving customer service as they will probably say in reply to this negative review.
Upon moving in, my room was absolutely disgusting. I vacuumed and could literally hear all of the dirt it was picking up. My bathroom was full of the previous leaser's dog's hair, as well as her own. There were roaches everywhere, and I did not feel comfortable sleeping there whatsoever. This apartment complex does not care about the leasers.
I pay a lot of money to live in this place, and the furniture "upgrade" we were supposed to get is a DOWNGRADE. Smaller beds, smaller dressers, smaller desks, and NO bedside table. If we refuse this new furniture, we have to take the new furniture and keep it in our living room, which is absolutely unacceptable. Every person in this apartment complex has queen-sized bedding but will now have to accommodate for a smaller bed. The worst part is that the office did not provide a description of the new furniture they will be moving in because they know that once people get it, they will complain, but at that point, there will be nothing they can do because they are throwing all of the old furniture away. The only reason I know this is because one of my roommates knows a girl who works there. This all could have been avoided if they just replaced the furniture at the end of the year instead of inconveniencing every single person here. Management is awful.
Also, don't be fooled if you think you are paying for a gated community because you are not! I have lived here since the beginning of August and the front gates have not been locked once.
A lot of people that live here do not care to pick up after their dogs, and the trash cans are ALWAYS overflowing. It's absolutely disgusting. Dozens and dozens of trash bags and food trash outside of the containers just sitting in the heat.
You can certainly find a place better than this.
