I Moved to Florida in 2014. Moved into a unit that smelled really bad. After tuning on the air in the apartment hours later, I noticed the carpet was soaked. We called management and had to rehire moving company to come back out the next day to remove all furniture back into a moving truck due to the air unit needing to be replaced. I then noticed that BLACK MOLD was growing all under the carpet and this was where the horrible smell was coming from. That evening after 11 pm, I was moved to a unit where supposedly their VIP stayed, after going into the unit, pulling the bed sheets back, the sheets had obviously been slept in several times, due to the dirtiness and hair on the sheets. The Bathroom was in the SAME CONDITION, multiple showers or baths had been taken and had never been cleaned. After going to the unit with mold and wet carpet to find clean sheets in my boxes , to sleep on at after midnight was too much. This was reported to management and she came in the next morning to see the uncleanliness, agreed and sent in housekeeping. The Next morning I had to pay movers to move everything back out of the unit and pay to have it stored on the moving truck, until the carpet and the unit was replaced. I was walking my dog one day and a neighbor mentioned that the lady that lived in the unit where I was moving into, where the Air unit had been leaking water under the carpet and there was mold everywhere, that lady was sick for a long time and even hospitalized and had to move and almost disabled. After 3 days of nothing happening and saying that they where only fixing the unit, the carpet was only going to be cleaned and the unit fixed not replaced, I went to the office turned in my keys and the company that I was working for canceled there check for my deposit and rent. Now I AM FINDING OUT ON MY CREDIT THAT THIS PLA
The landscaping is awful. Fallen leaves are never removed and have killed the Fred's and much of the shrubbery. Everything is choking and dying. There are no flowers as nothing can grow. The lawns are primarily dirt that gets blown into my lanai by men with leaf blowers. The maintenance will not clean up the yards. Worst care I've ever seen in Florida. The office does not respond to my many requests for cleanup.
Costly, out dated appliance, staff is not very timely with lease paperwork, delayed response to correspondence and maintenance requests, nice main pool, back pool needs cleaning up a bit, landscaping could be better, fitness center needs to be updated, safe area, convenient, and close to major attractions.
Clean, safe condos in a park like setting.
In general, I have had a good experience, but there are some things that could have been better. The unit was very clean and ready for me to move in. It would be nice if a roll of toilet paper and paper towel could be provided. Problems include lack of A/C in Exercise Room, problem with spa not functioning well. I am also waiting for needed repairs within my unit.
