Its now been over a year since I lived at Terra Mar, and I guess they just really want to know what my opinion is because they continually keep sending me this request for a review. You asked for it. They will be VERY willing to take your money right from the start, and that will continue all the way to the end of your time with Terra Mar. During my final walkthrough with the property manager she exalted the apartment and made comments like how clean it was and that I should be getting most if not all of my security deposit back. That was for sure not the case. I was sent to a collections agency for "damages" to the apartment. Apparently my dogs peed so much that it stained the foundation, my dogs don't pee inside. The previous tenant of the same apartment also had dogs, so who's to say that it wasn't their fault. Fact; I was told that the apartment looked great, a week later now I owe more money because of "damages". Please!! Also if you don't want to EVER build a relationship with anyone that works in the office (because their turn-over rate is so high, 3 or 4 different property managers in the year that I was there and not to mention the other people that were constantly different in the office) than I highly advise living here. Oh, and don't call the Property Manager that oversees both properties because she will NOT return your call. I had a huge issue with someone in the office there and how I treated, made the call to discuss and NEVER had my call returned!! Come to find out later from the NEW manager that she was indeed just being rude to be rude. GREAT! All in all it was a waste of money to live there and my experience was not top notch like it should've been for the amount of money you have to pay. The units are nice, the grounds are well maintained, and the dog park is a good option for them to have on the property. That's all the positives you get from me. Now that I have submitted a review that I didn't want to do will you please leave me alone? Thanks!
Wish I could give this place ZERO stars. For starters the amenities are sub par with the price you are paying. You pay a monthly trash fee even though you have to take your trash all the way to the dumpster yourself. The wifi in the gym and common areas hardly ever worked. And to top off my frustration, the utility bill didn't get turned back to Terramar after we moved out and we are being charged for an extra month of utilities that the apartment used and not us. Horrible owners. Would not recommend this place to anyone!
We love our choice of our new apartment. If you are looking for an apartment in this area you need to check out TerraMar. The office was very helpful and the maintenance staff has been more than willing to lend a hand. We have the new wood floors they are installing and it made a great difference in our apartment.
The neighbors seem very nice and we love the gym. No more money to gym memberships! YAY!
A big thank you to Nicole and Shelly in the office. They made the moving process very easy.
Looking to find a nice and comfortable place to live.
As far as positive reviews are concerned, you shouldn't take them seriously at all. The management sent emails to residents offering $50 gift cards for positive reviews. They are telling residents they will be entering apartments for "bank inspections" as well. It is likely that the apartments are floundering and management is desperate.
Upon entering the apartment the first time, we noticed the carpet was filthy and torn up from someone's pet. Big urine stains, what I assumed was either vomit or feces, candle wax, crumpled potato chips in the floor along the cabinets, cigarette ash stains. We also noticed drawers filled with cigarette butts and ash in the kitchen. We asked the Office why it wasn't cleaned before we moved in to which they replied it had been cleaned but someone must have broken in and done this. I guess to them its logical someone breaks in to an apartment and makes animal stains in the carpets, spread chip crumbs and candle wax everywhere and put cigarette ashes and butts in kitchen drawers and carpet. In such an expensive apartment, one can only regret that break-ins are such a big concern.
We were promised compensation for the revolting condition of the apartment we moved into after waiting a long time for management to actually take the time to come and look for themselves. After waiting months, we were told we would have to sign a legal document to receive compensation and agree to not post or say anything about our experiences at the apartment. I would avoid this place like a prison camp if I were a prospective renter.
We have a dog that has recently suffered a terrible back injury. We live on the third floor and have inquired about moving to a first floor apartment but in typical fashion, the office shows disinterest and incompetence at every turn. After calling many times we were told its very expensive, only to find out from another resident that the price if the office likes you is less than a third of what we were told.
