I moved in St Charles last year, I was in between renewing my lease or relocate but I will renew my lease but I really don't like the lack of upkeep with the property. The sidewalks definitely need to be pressure washed, the landscaping is hideous, I think the only areas of upkeep is in the front entrance and by the office location. I have no problems with maintenance only the high turnover with office staff.
Some nights the gates are down and there is no guard to assist visitors.
Overall the property is ok not better than apartments that I visited.
My family moved to this complex May 1st 2017 shortly thereafter the Michaelson Real Estate Group purchased the complex. Unfortunately, the complex has suffered greatly. The security guard at the front gate no longer is there. The grills in the courtyard no longer function. 3 out of 4 laundromats are non-functioning. Roaches and ants are reported by most tenants with nothing done. Maintenance & lawncare is lacking. The office staff prefers to label the complaining resident as a liar & troublemaker instead of fixing the problems.
I never received a call or email about my inquiry. I guess they don't want me to live there?
The a/c was not even functioning when I first moved in. I talked to my then neighbor about it on move-in day and he dealt with the same issue. Apparently maintenance cannot be bothered to check those things before a tenant moves in. Many of my outlets do not work. The walls and windows are paper thin so I can hear everything outside, all the time. Many neighbors don't pick up after their dogs.
