These apartments are not worth the amount of money you pay. Dog poop in the areas and the owners do not clean it up. Every time it rains or a strong wind occurs you can smell dog poop. They have cameras in the front are but they are not affective. I would not advise anyone to move in these apartments. You paying over $900 and can not have a area to grill; you are not allowed to grill on your patio or a mall grill next to your door. They get your apartment mixed up with others. This place sucks; this is the reason individuals are always moving out.
I would not advise anyone to move in these apartments. They dont like fixing anything; if you place anything (small grocery bag) outside the door until you finish up to take to the trash they are calling or knocking on your door asking to take it to the trash now. For the amount of money one pays its not worth living in these apartments. They have a high turnover in people moving out once they see the type of pettiness one has to deal with. Please in less you need someone to live urgently by pass this place; it is not worth the out-of-pocket cost to live in these apartments.
Update 10/2020. "Jessica" manages another property. She was a good manager. But it's the property OWNER that calls the shots on how much to spend.
There are still potential serious problems even for remodeld units. Windows were NOT replaced, you will find them loose and drafty. Fine dirt is blown in no matter what floor you are on. Makes for a dirty home. You lose a lot of a/c dollars too. If you need the laundry room good luck. Majority are out of service. There is no security patrol, FYI. Exterior walls in all units are prone to mold, cracks in outer cement not mended properly. Never had a unit that didn't get mold eventually. I've used up a lot of my life applying KILZ paint. Some parking areas were plauged by extreme flooding, as in too deep to access your vehicle. I would be sure to ask if the city (who was responsible) ever cleaned out the drains. Look for a grated square drain in the asphalt of the lot. That's a SIGN the lot is pitched low and floods. You could be in water several feet deep during heavy rain. I hope you don't have to go anywhere urgently, like to work. Remember the guts of these buildings are from 1972. I would NOT drink the water without filtration. Ask if Air conditioner ductwork was replaced or cleaned. You could be breathing some very old dust, carpets fibers and mold if not. Which also makes for a dirty home. Why do I stay? I pay for a lot of work/cleaning myself because I need this location. I paid to have ducts cleaned, and new carpet. A relative does laundry at their home for me because washers are broken. Relatives fixed my fridge and replaced corroded faucets. Just be aware it's not always as pretty once you actually LIVE in a unit for a while. It's just a question of "am I really getting my money's worth"
One Who Knows
Too expensive for 1 bedroom
I have lived in Emerald Pointe apartments since 2011. The community was slowly going down. Then Jessica and her team came in and took over the changes she has made to this community have been nothing short of amazing they've redone the landscape which is absolutely beautiful and shows pride of ownership The people who caused problems here have been moved out it's a peaceful community where neighbors talk to neighbors and gather together around food trucks in the evening to get to know each other I've been very happy living here at Emerald Pointe and I highly recommend them as your next apartment home.
