Worse people to deal with, be aware of their pettiness. After living in said property for over 8 years, I moved out back in March 30th 2020, and these individuals want to charge me 100 dollars to clean a carpet that is 5 years old and shouldve been replaced due to the water damaged in the second bedroom that my renters insurance paid for. I now have a collection regarding the balance and conveniently enough, 49th street apartments management was uncapable of reaching out to me after I gave them my forwarding address and my cell phone, so now I have to waste time and resources over the $75 dollar balance these people are not entitled to due to their own negligence of following Florida statute 83.49: to give the tenant written notice by certified mail to the tenants last known mailing address within 30 days of the lease termination / vacating of the premises of his intent to impose a claim on the security deposit. The written notice must explain the landlords reason for imposing the claim. Said letter was never sent to my house, certified mail requires signature upon delivery. This was for unit 1908, so if someone knows the current tenant or if said person is reading this, please get ahold of me to talk and see if they actually just cleaned the carpet or replaced it. Keep in mind the tears on the master bedroom carpet, were done by the people that came and aid to the flood of said bedroom a couple years ago, and it was their decision not to replace the carpet since they didnt want to move the furniture in the room. I also uploaded the copy of the "Tenant Ledger" which it was emailed to me on May 20th, 2020 and if someone can understand what the charges are, let me know.

I have lived here for almost 4yrs and sorry it's time to go. Whetstone apartments have been brought out. They are now called 49th st apartments but is still the same exact complex but get this there has been a $300 rent increase. The reason I stayed so long was because it was affordable. Even though the apartments are cheap I liked my neighbors and just got so used to living here. Now with the rent so high w.a promise of a gym and recreational center I decided to say screw this place. All previous staff is gone. There are a few neighbors trying to figure out where they will live next. If your rent goes from 875 to now 1170 what would you do living in the same exact apartment. I am very stressed out and now have to find somewhere else to live. I will not pay that kind of money for this complex. We paid for what we got at 875 or less. Paying more is a scam. Breaks my heart this is happening.

I'm current resident at Whetstone and I love it there, it's quiet, clean and welcoming. My experience with the office staff is always a pleasant one, and if maintenance is needed they are always there within 24 hours. I honestly have nothing negative to say Whetstone Apartments

Since we moved in the apartment complex 5 years ago I have nothing but good to say about the overall management staff and the maintenance is second to none always on time and on top of anything if anything ever goes wrong the office they have Personnel they're ready willing and able to help with any issue and then the neighborhood is clean safe and well taken care of with security cameras and police not far away if the need arises however everything is been great since we've been here perfect neighborhood.
