The new company doesn't alert you when your building is being painted so you and your dog can now be the same fabulous dark red as your door and trim when you open it to go walk him!! Then when you call to ask about the serious lapse in communication, they'll blame it on the two painting guys that don't speak English and tell you to go talk to them about it. This place gets worse and worse every single day with the new management company.
This place is horrible. Before they changed over to new owners they are bad, took forever for maintenance to show up to fix anything. Now when new company took over they tell current residents that when you renew your lease they are jacking up your rent. Come on really? You really gonna do that to previous residents who been here a while!? Not worth it for 1,124sqft of space. Thank god we are leaving.
A few months ago this complex got bought out by Blue Roc. They have driven this place in to the ground. We've been here two years and loved it. The new owners came in and immediately started making massive changes. We used to have security at the gate at night and others that walked or drove around the parking lot. I always felt safe. They fired all the security and left the gate wide open 24/7 up until last week. It now closes at night and they say they're in negotiations to get security but I won't hold my breath. The office suddenly stopped accepting packages. They don't send any notice when something big is happening like them painting our building, even the stair wells. They no longer offer pest control which we used to get every month. They are raising our rent $200 and offering less. They even added a flat fee to our rent for water which is higher than any of our water bills were. For the price you can find something better in a better neighborhood.
I've been here happily for a little over 2.5 years. But now that the new management (Blue Roc/Parks at Catania) has took over 2 months ago (we were notified the day it was happening) it's been a non-stop ser decline. Maintenance men have been found wandering into and out of apartments for no apparent reason according to my neighbors and the office doesn't know why and won't look into it when you ask about it (!?!)
Our (only!!) laundry room on property has been either broken and nailed shut or all the machines have signs on them (only in Spanish) saying they're out of order every single day since the takeover.
They no longer do pest control and I've got ants trying to take over.
They literally don't answer the phone or do maintenance requests when you leave them on the voicemail or go in to request one.
BOTH of the front gates have been broken and not repaired since they've taken over.
They've added our water bill to our rent and it literally doubled the price of the old water bill.
It's a shame, this place was beautiful, with friendly staff and neighbors and really well-kept under Sterling Crest, now I can't wait to move :(
