Yes this is a great location but be ready to have a lot issues, no hot water, no air conditioning, fires, water pipes bursting and flooding your apartment. The buildings are old and in need of repair, new floors and a fresh coat of paint can't fix the problem here. Here is a sample of just one of the issues.

Dear Residents,

Just wanted to inform everyone that we are aware of the smoke in the tower. There was a small fire that began in the A/C room of the 7th floor and is has been contained. The fire department has arrived immediately and we will update everyone as soon as we have more information. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work diligently on this matter.

If I could leave negative stars I would...This place is atrocious. Pay a little more elsewhere and the equivalence will be as if you were bumped from economy to first class. In my time living here, I had an instance when the A/C for the building was completely down, in addition to one time exclusively for my floor. We're talking about 4 days of sleeping in an apartment with temperatures of 88 without a remedy, solution, or empathy offered. That's professional. There have been TWO water leaks from the 9th floor all the way down to the 2nd...which destroyed many tenants belongings. Oh -- you'll see large dead roaches in hallways. Everyone loves to play the card, "well hey, it's Florida". As a Florida native I haven't had this issue elsewhere. Let's move on to discuss the issue with the elevators. Not only do they need to be replaced because they are OLD ...BUT tenants frequently get stuck between floors in them. That's convenient. Customer service in the office is subpar for what you will pay in rent prices. I chose this place due to a hasty relocation and needed to make a decision quick. Do not make the same mistake as I was reminded of it every day of living there. One last thing which happens to be the creme of the crop. The laundry situation SUCKS. Prepare to feel as if you have inadequately washed your clothes for a year. There is constant pet hair in the machines, and the machines too are dirty, disgusting, and old. If you are a non-smoker get ready to feel as if you're a smoker. Given that the A/C units are shared, my studio constantly reeked of cigarette smoke coming in from the vents. If you have asthma, kids, or simply don't want to predispose yourself to your home smelling like you just walked in to a dive bar...don't live here.

Honestly the worst decision of my life to live here. If you enjoy constant air conditioning outages in the summer time, moldy and falling ceilings, and no hot water in the winter time, this is your place to live! Management and staffing turn over is crazy because they are constantly dealing with annoyed residents. It seems the building is old and they refuse to put the necessary money into the facility to ensure it runs properly- but don't worry, they will raise your rent each month for "lobby fees".... whatever that is. It's worth the extra $100 or so each month to live somewhere else downtown, trust me.
