My first week living at Coda has been absolutely incredible! My apartment is beautiful with the most up to date appliances and finishes. The Coda community is so friendly and lively, and the complex is in such a convenient location. I can see myself staying here for years to come!

Okay, so I moved to Orlando in May for work, and the main reason I picked CODA was that they were one of the only upgraded/modern places in Orlando that came with an in-unit washer and dryer. When I moved in I loved that I was the first person to live in my apartment and how nice it was but that quickly went downhill. 1) if you get anything on the wall and try to lightly wash it off the paint comes off. So the only way you will be able to get things off is by painting over it or cleaning it then painting over it, without getting charged. The cleaning people, before RK took over, even said that things chip/break all the time. 2) When it comes to the paint on the patio door, make sure you check if the blinds are in the holders because if not every-time you open and close that door the paint will chip right off. It's not just the paint/walls that are crappy but the carpet, wood flooring, and doors as well. There are dips in the floor and there are gaps where the carpet doesn't fully meet the wall. Also, the door to one of the bedrooms opens and hits the closet door which caused a dip in the closet door and I have paint that has chipped off of those too (Which I don't understand when this building was just built last year). 3) The Staff SUCKS. They're nice when they're trying to get you to sign a lease and give them money but ever since I moved in they have been horrible, even with the new management. They act like it's such an effort to talk/help you when you have questions. They all act like entitled snobby women who don't need to respect anyone when we pay their salaries. 4) Let's talk about the Lockdown Procedures. First, they wouldn't let anyone access amenities unless it was during "Normal Business Hours". I'm all for safety but be real. Most of the people that live here have work or school the hours the office is open and by the time people like myself are done for the day everything is closed. The amenities were one of the reasons I wanted to live here but when I couldn't use it up until last month, it makes me think we should have been getting a discount on our rent so I called to say that. Next thing I know they open everything up within days of that call. Also, you could only use the gym and pool. So things such as the Grand Clubroom with Billiards, the Media Business Center, the Beverage Café, and Indoor Dog Spa we couldn't even access up until they finally allowed people to go in the office. 5) The Walls/Floors are paper thin. I picked the fourth floor specifically because I didn't want to hear anyone above me but you also have to worry about the people next to you just moving and talking in their apartment, people below you playing music, and even the neighbor across the hall with dogs that do nothing but bark. You also have to take into consideration we live right around the corner from the fire station and next to a hospital so they are going every 1-3 hours per day and add in the police chases and speeding they do and you have one noisy place. This isn't just once in a blue moon, this happens every day of the week. 6) Your safety here is questionable. Ever since I've moved in here there have been constant problems with the smoke alarms. It can be smoky as hell and they won't even go off but if you open the oven, toaster oven or even the microwave for more than 30 seconds and it has no smoke they will go off. I asked maintenance to check it and they just suggested to take the batteries out of one of them (Like WTF). Also, you have the gates around the property. Sometimes you'll use the door and it's unlocked for anyone to come through and other times the door won't even open with your fob so you have to walk around the building to find one that does. Overall, The location is only good if you want to be near UCF. Otherwise, you are having to drive 30 minutes to reach downtown, Winter Park, or even where the theme parks are. The people here are also quiet/keep to themselves for the most part. Lastly, parking is decent. You'll normally find close spots near your entrance but even if you don't there is always open parking. I personally would not/will not renew my lease here and suggest you find somewhere better if you don't want to deal with all the problems I have so far.
