      We emailed leasing six times for an appt. to tour the property. When they were bored enough to get back to us, we met with someone named Orlando Diaz, who kept asking us personal questions about our work and livelihood, very inappropriate. We are market rate renters; and this is very "low rent" behaviour. We are very concerned having given them our contact information, etc.; and how it will be utilized by this overy curious management/leasing office. The Cornerstone Group who owns the property and development, which was a selling point, should rethink their staffing at this property. Too many options in the neighborhood for this to go unchecked.

      Questionable rental practices for certain market rate renters.The Cornerstone Group and their employees have made a concerted effort to discriminate based on religion/language as we were NOT representative of what they would like in their community.We were told that one of the units could be rented for a premium, the second available after the 20th of January could not be viewed as it was being used as a storage facility for maintenance, as the building is still under construction.The third unit we were told by leasing was being occupied by a member of The Cornerstone Group Corporate office and they would be vacating by months end, to live in a unit on the 8th floor, still under construction.It was taken at face value that all these explanations were based on fact and not a contrivance.After leaving we expected to receive a follow-up email from leasing as is customary of any professional leasing office.NO response was given and no link to apply, as was requested, was sent.Several attempts were made to follow up with leasing and all went ignored, and one of the emails sent was returned as denied/blocked by their office.When leasing finally did reply, they stated that the apartments discussed were not available, not rented, but simply unavailable and with no explanation given.If management/leasing were actually interested in having us as tenants they should have suggested another layout which was available for rent or suggested the one of the numerous 2 bedroom apartments which are available at market rate and worked with us to secure one of these.Apparently,the Community management/leasing and their Corporate ownership seem to behave one way while you are in their presence and after you leave, it is never their intention to rent someone who does not fit into a particular category, which they would prefer to have as residents.The City Housing Authority needs to investigate The Cornerstone Group, and their employees for discriminatory leasing practices.
