I love living at the Portiva. It is conveniently located and has modern, well laid out apartments, a well-equipped gym, and a beautiful pool. It is a dog-friendly facility and they have a dog park on the premises which my dogs love. I would definitely recommend the Portiva to anyone who is looking to rent in the area.
Not much good to say
Parking is a MAJOR problem here. They really didn't think that part through. There's not enough parking spaces for the amount of apartments in this building. It's ridiculous.
This is also a magnet for dog owners. They are everywhere. And their owners don't clean up after them if they poop or pee in the elevators, breezeways or stairwells. It's gross and it's embarrassing to bring people over.
Paper thin walls, ceilings and floors. You get surround sound in the worst possible way. Thumps, thuds, drags, and bangs all day. It's maddening.
And the outrageous price doesn't seem to keep the riff-raff out. Trash left in elevators, inconsiderate neighbors and cars with their thumping, buzzing basses driving through the parking lot.
I've always tried to rent in one place for at least 2 years to make it worth the hassle and price of moving, but I I just can't do it this time. When my lease is up, I'm gone.
