Located in extreme south Florida between Miami and Florida City at the end of the Florida Turnpike, Homestead is a small city which has experienced growth over the past few years. As part of the Miami metro area, Homstead offers a variety of apartments to choose from and interesting attractions to explore.
The Everglades National Park takes up a good portion of south Florida, and they are an attraction that you don't want to miss if you are moving to Homestead apartments. Discover endangered species in their natural habitat or kayak and hike the many streams and trails of the park. You can also camp, boat and fish in the Everglades. Just remember to follow the rules for your own safety and the protection of the wildlife.
Another unique way to experience the outdoors is to explore the Fruit and Spice park. This tropical botanical garden offers a variety of exotic plants, vegetables, spices, herbs, bananas and bamboo. Located near Homestead apartments on the northern side of the city, this park is readily available for tours, classes and exploration.
For those looking for something a little more thrilling, pay a visit to the Homestead-Miami Speedway which hosts part of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. You can also catch special events and motorcycle racing at the track. To add a little mystery to the trill, check out the Coral Castle. This monument is said to have been built single-handedly by Ed Leedskalnin in less than 30 years. But, before heading back to your Homestead apartment, pay a visit to the ArtSouth Cultural Arts Center which is home to several galleries, exhibits, an arts school and special events.
