This is going to be my 2nd year here and I love it the staff is great and very accommodating.
Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Grounds are kept clean and facilities are always up and working. Although there are occasional maintenance issues, their maintenance team is quick and efficient. Great experience so far!
Thanks to all the staff at Cypress Legends for the generosity you have shown our community during this difficult time. Though we have been blessed , there are some out there or "here" that never have anything good to say, they complain about the weather and expect those around them to cater to their every whim, you guys are the best and the community is better for having you.
Don't plan on living here during a hurricane. They will put SOME shutters up on SOME of their buildings and leave the rest. We are placed on the 2nd floor of building 6 and currently have no shutters on our windows with a category 5 hurricane on its way. Yet the first floor of building 6 has their shutters up. Lazy? Doesn't care? Yes. That's Cypress Legends. They informed us they will hire an outside contractor to install our shutters, therefore we have nothing to worry about. Then they apply some of them and leave the rest of the buildings bare. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. If we knew you weren't going to stick to your word we would have definitely ensured our shutters were put up.
I have resided here at Cypress Legends for almost 7 months. At first, this community was everything I wanted; close to work, shopping plazas, restaurants and quick interstate access. That all quickly went downhill when the staff became unprofessional when my a/c compressor broke. I was told that I was incompetent when it came to utilizing the thermostat and they insisted in installing a basic model thermostat that "couldn't be messed up". The gentleman that brought in a small window a/c was kind and had a sense of urgency that the staff here should take notes from. I was without a/c in mid May, house was at 89 degrees, for 4 days. They told me to run the fan for air circulation which made perfect sense but made my electric bill sky rocket to $90 more than it's usual cost. I provided every electric bill since I've moved in, in hopes that they would appreciate the $1300 I pay monthly and compensate a little in rent because I didn't choose this unit and didn't know the compressor was going to break so why make me suffer? After FIVE full weeks of waiting, they offered to take $25 off my rent and were not even sympathetic. Also, the lights weren't working one day and we flipped the breaker switch on and off but that didn't fix the issue so someone came out to look at the problem and wrote in the notes "When flipping a breaker switch, be sure to fully click it over both ways" again insinuating I don't know how to operate a breaker or a thermostat. It ending up being a surge blew the fuse. The community is safe besides a few vehicle break ins, the gym is open 24/7 with your gate card and there's a very small dog area but honestly for the price, I am extremely disappointed and will not be renewing my lease in November.
