Great price for an apartment with all the amenities!
This apartment seems to be in a safe place and all the neighbors seem to be respectful of others. Water and electric is not included and parking/garbage is free. There is a application fee. Also an administration fee that we were not made aware about. You can hear muffles of your neighbors talking or when they are watching tv, but if you have considerate neighbors it should not be too much of an annoyance. Some critiques that the apartment wasnt exactly move in ready. When I first walked in I could smell a very slight smoke smell. In the bathroom the toilet was broken, the bathtub drain was dirty, mold on the blinds and the ceiling, dirty brown outside windows with some broken screens throughout the apartment, so cant open up the window without bugs getting in and a dirty, dusty air vent in the bathroom. In the kitchen there was cat fur in the cabinet and cat toys and the dish washer was broken and dirty and the luxury updated kitchen seems to be just the doors of the cabinet, some of the insides of the cabinet are just plywood painted and dont close as smoothly. Its a good apartment but I would not call this luxury. Also the washer machine was dirty. Overlooking the inconveniences the appliances do seem to be nice though. In the living room the blinds are bent and where the water heater and ac is, it smells wet and musty. There also seems to be some type of infestation of this small yellow eggs all over some of the windows, around the outside underneath the roof and the screen outside in the balcony which is not pretty to look at. Also vegetation has taken over the gutters on the roof. They really need to fix the infestation outside and they need to make sure that the apartments are in pristine condition when moving in. The place has a lot of potential and all these things can be fixable but they just need to be better in first impressions when moving in and make sure the apartments are all fixed up before move in. Overall it is a good and safe place to live.
Great Location, beautiful community, apartments are older but nicely remodeled. Love my new home .
Love being surrounded by the beautiful trees. The community is peaceful and quiet, kind of in the middle of no-where yet still close enough to Daytona if I need more "city" life. The staff is friendly and I love my apartment, it's not perfect but it's not brand new, the rent price matches that so I'm happy. DeLand has a great small town feel.
Do not lease one of the 600 buildings (640,650,660 etc.) Why? The traffic noise from a four lane highway is very loud. Management has changed at least 3x's in the two years I was there. The buildings are at least 35 years old and the floor plan photos are odd. Don't mean bad mouth the property but it's overpriced. My recommendation is to keep looking for a nicer, quieter place to live.
