Melrose On The Bay

I was only contacted from a leasing representative from the leasing company, who was out of state. No one locally from the Melrose on The Bay has contacted me.

I got taken advantage of as this was the first place I moved into as a young adult. I signed for a "renovated" appartmet and was later told by a matinance man that our appartment isn't even renovated after him and his team has came to not fix a myriad of issues I placed requests for. The worst of all is the A/C issue. During the summer months, we can not get our A/C below 80 degrees even with 4 fans running at all times. We were told my matinance to not turn our air down below 78 degrees before 9-10pm because if we do we are "wasting money". This has resulted in almost $400 MONTHLY electic bills ON TOP of rent and water bills... There was also the issue of our hot water heater being turned up after a matinance man didn't realize he turned off the hot water heater while trying to repair a leak in the shower. We've had matinance come out 3-4 times to fix the water heater since we can not get cold water in the shower anymore. Parking is a joke. My partner struggled to park close to our apartment after he came home from work. They just put a policy in place this week to cut down on this parking issue. The leasing office doesn't return emails or calls. Long story short I'm moving next month.

I was quoted an apartment and I decided that I want another apartment Ill same size. They accommodated my change at first. Then I decided I wanted to get a larger apartment and they refuse to give it to me. What complex have you heard of that refuses to give Apartments the cost more to a customer when the apartment is available online. Theres actually eight units available for the timeframe that I was interested in moving in. I highly recommend you can find another place that will appreciate your business. The staff is very unfriendly and unwilling to do anything for you.

The lady I spoke to on the phone was very short with me.

We moved here about 6 weeks ago from SC, we were told that our apartment would be newly renovated and got here after driving 12 hours and our apartment was disgusting!!! The floors were cracked tile, the dish washer was gross, the stove is old. The tubs are dirty. Its invested with bugs. The pictures online are NOT AT ALL WHAT THE APARTMENT REALLY LOOK LIKE!!! Although they did replace the floors and dish washer, weve put in many requests to fix other things, they office post that the tasks were completed when they were not, the neighbors leave out their trash now there are raccoons outside and they leave it out there for days. I reported it to maintenance and they didnt do anything about it and told me to report it on Monday because it happened during the weekend. These people dont care about your experience here. They just want your money. Which they are charging WAY TO MUCH!!! For these crappy apartments!! We hate it here and wont be staying long, we have reached out to the property management company and they dont t care either!!! Read the reviews and dont waste your time and money on this place!!! And I will be sure to tell everyone about our experience here!!!! Oh and I forgot to mention that the office keeps trying to charge us for a pet deposit and late fee that we already paid and have a money order to prove it!!! Instead of helping to make residents experiences better the buy bikes to put out front to look good on the outside but it truly is an awful experience!!!
